"All I want is for those out there struggling to know that there is hope. There are ways through the darkest of times. There are ways you can recover and move beyond them.
Most importantly though, for anyone out there struggling, know that you are not alone.
The world can be overwhelming, but you don't have to face it by yourself.
No one does."

ANDREW SALKELD
My name is Andrew Salkeld.
I am a Chartered Accountant and member of the ICAEW. I started my career training at PwC and specialising in Corpoate Finance, working on mergers and acquisitions across the world.
Following my move into industry I focused on business intelligence, data and analytics. I worked diligently building reporting systems and tools to increase efficiency and provide timely information to allow leadership teams to make more responsive, data driven decisions.
After numerous industry positions I now find myself as Finance Director at a Leeds based tech company called dscvr, whilst also acting as a mentor and advisor to other start-up and scale-up companies.
I am also a Psychologist, positioning me as one of only a handful of people in the UK who holds a dual qualification as an accountant and psychologist. I help businesses and their people understand the impact of their financing and corporate structure upon their employees.
I hold degrees in Mathematics with Physics, Financial Mathematics and Psychology.
ANDY SALKELD
I'm Andy.
I live with ADHD with depressive and anxious symptoms. I have been suicidal at three distinct points in my life. The person opposite may look like they've got it together but I really don't!
I shared my story with the world on World Mental Health Day 2018 through my keynote speech, Breaking the Stigma. I was asked to share this story more and more. During 2020, my story was published worldwide by Practical Inspiration Publishing in my first book, Life is a Four-Letter Word.
Deep down I am just a huge geek!
I love board games and computer games. My favourite board games are Tomorrow and Fog of Love. My favourite video game varies, but is currently either Crypt of the Necrodancer or Slay the Spire.
I'm a huge fan of music, particularly ska and pop punk. I have been slowly teaching myself more about it by using LSDJ on the GameBoy.
If you would like to know anything else about me, please feel free to ask.

Sandi J. Davies
Sandi began her career in contract security in 1980 with a primary focus on personnel administration. She became deeply involved in training and was instrumental in developing Security Officer training programs for a major national guard company. Her interest in security training grew and in 1988 she joined the newly formed International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO), as a program administrative assistant. In 1991 she was elected executive director of the International Foundation for Protection Officers and has been a driving force in Foundation program development and administration. This includes the Certified Protection Officer (CPO) and Certified in Security Supervision and Management (CSSM) programs just to mention a few. To date over 160,000 individuals have become certified.
Since Sandi’s appointment to executive director of the IFPO it continues to expand and be seen by the security community as a leading association for security officers, supervisor and managers. Proudly this is the ‘one and only’ of its kind. Many hours have been identified for curriculum development which Sandi oversees and directs for current trends and requirements.
In 2020 by way of Sandi’s direction an IFPO RESEARCH project was launched. $75,000.00 was raised to conduct this research through Perpetuity Research which commenced in early 2021. This research project has been long overdue as the last much less involved research was conducted in 1988. The basis of this research includes understanding the complexities of security officers in the 21 century. The main reason for IFPO’s interest in this research is that well thought out documented proof is obtained so that the results can better provide the IFPO with the necessary tools to develop even more relevant security educational opportunities. As a result of this the IFPO created and had published by the USA Department of Labor the Security Officer and Patrol Services Competency Model.
2022 Sandi became the Chief Executive Officer of the IFPO.
Sandi became a member of the ASIS International in 1985 and has served in executive positions at the chapter level. Additionally, she served as chairperson for the Security Services Council.
Sandi's voluntary board involvement includes the following:
• Member of the Technical Advisory Board for the Canadian General Standards Board on Security Officer Training Standards.
• Member of the Advisory Board for the Northwest Territories Security Officer Certification Committee.
• Member of the Board of the International Foundation for Cultural Property Protection.
• Chairperson, for the Asset Protection Advisory Board for Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta Canada.
• Committee Member of the Institute for Professional Certification and Accreditation (IPCA).
• Committee Member for the ASIS International Private Security Officer Selection and Training Guideline.
• Served on the ASIS Internationals Private Security Officer Standard and Guidelines committee.
Ms. Davies has had numerous articles published in security publications such as Security Management, and Security Magazine relating to certifications and training of security personnel. In the early 90’s Ms. Davies in a cooperative effort with the IFPO Founding Director; Ronald R. Minion co-edited the Protection Officer Training Manual published by Butterworth-Heinemann. That text is now in its 9thEdition and drafts are already being prepared for the 10th Edition. In 1994 she contributed a chapter relating to Crime Prevention in Canada in a Butterworth-Heinemann text entitled “Handbook of Loss Prevention and Crime Prevention. In 1995 again in a cooperative effort Ms. Davies an

Kate is a Coaching Psychologist, Trauma-Informed specialist, and British Psychological Society Graduate Member (GMBPsS). She actively destigmatises real mental health, and brings practical wisdom from the field of trauma to life. She helps leaders and managers faced with delivering sustained high-performance under pressure to achieve goals – but not “at all costs”.
Unlike many coaches, Kate has learnt to work WITH trauma, because she knows whether acknowledged or not, it is present all around us. Trauma isn’t only what most people think it is (the event, that happens to us), but is instead a reaction (what happens inside of us). This is why two people can be in the same event, one gets traumatised, the other bounces back.
This gives space not only for the Big traumas that people experience in events, but the background chronic traumas such as racism, sexism, bullying, that happen all around us… and indeed mini exposures that add up over time such as those experienced by First Responders – these together add up to chronic trauma.
Kate began working life as a British Army Logistics officer, her first command age 21 was of 50 people. She has since worked in public and commercial sectors, and as an Expert Witness on Employability after injury. Her own trauma occurred giving birth to her first child and sparked a career change into positive psychology and traumatology that she will never regret. She runs her private practice from Luxembourg, working with 1:1 clients worldwide.
