India's defence cooperation concept is different from various other countries. The basics of defence cooperation includes military cooperation and is an overall as part of Defence diplomacy. It also covers the overall foreign policy of the country and all these aspects are interlinked. Defence cooperation or military cooperation cannot be delinked from the foreign policy of a country.

Defence acquisition is a primary measure under Aatmanirbhar Bharat.  The highlight is that indeginous procurement does not mean hundred percent equipment manufactured in India, there has to be a particular ratio, which has to be procured from other countries as well.

The last meeting between Corps Commanders on both sides took place in the Chushul sector, lasting for about 11 hrs. This is the 6th meeting between them, in which a joint statement has been issued. Recently, in Indo Pacific new political engagements are taking place, some of those being China's BRI, RCEP and QUAD. Almost all the countries in the region are supporting China's Belt and Road Initiative. Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership is another development, which includes countires of Asia as trading partners. The Parliament's Monsoon session starts on September 14. The session was delayed due to the impact of Covid 19.  Things that can come up for discussion during the current session are the India China Relations at the Line of Actual COntrol, the spread of COVID19 India and the failing economy.
