In this episode, I spoke with Isabel Grafe about Gentle Birthing or the Conscious Birthing process. She shares with us beautiful birth stories and traditions of birthkeeping.
"Isa" as we fondly call her was born and raised in Germany where there lives a very strong tradition of midwifery. After her undergraduate international diploma in social work, she pursued the three-year education to become a midwife.
After medical training in three hospitals, she was fortunate to join a very well-established worker-cooperative birth center in Hamburg.
In the midst of her journey, she was compelled by her heart to serve in Leyte, in the Philippines, at a birth center established by Ibu Robin Lim in response to Typhoon Yolanda (or Haiyan). She has been serving for and supporting the movement for gentle birthing in the Philippines and all over the world.
You can go to https://www.yourmidwifehour.com/ to get connected with her.
Pardon the clicking sounds somewhere between 00:07:00 to 00:14:00 - couldn't find a way to edit it out but it goes away after that. Isa tells a beautiful story in that timeframe.
Enjoy and please share with friends!
