I definitely enjoyed the movie, Son of God. Despite the debate and challenges taking place about the movie on Jesus' life, its accuracy and theological liberties taken, I am in agreement with those that believe the movie got it right - Jesus was the Son of God, his message was accurately conveyed, and he is the way to salvation (heaven).

I share a recent story of a response I received from a Twitter post about people declining to do business with others who violate thier personal religious beliefs. Was it really me or my belief that was ignorant, stupid, and retarded? No. Are we most like the 5 people we spend time with, the books we read, or the things we most listen to? Yes. It's the wisdom of God versus the wisdom of the age.

The Son of God is the new movie produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey. It is premiering this week, February 28, 2014. I give my Top 10 reasons why I plan to see it. I like what I have read about it thus far, particularly the focus the movie has on Jesus the person. Joel Osteen was quoted as saying after seeing the movie, one has the feeling of "wow" ... He could be my friend. I'd like to think Jesus would welcome me as his friend someday. Looking forward to seeing this.
