Today on Self Maid, I'm chatting with another one of my Booked Out Cleaners members, Tash, from Serene Clean in Canberra.

Tash was in a government admin job she knew she wouldn't last in when she came across my TikTok. She landed her first client by messaging strangers in local Facebook groups, then cleaned that house on her lunch break and logged back into her full-time job afterwards. 

Two and a half years later she's turning over a quarter of a million dollars a year with 60 clients and a team of six.

Today on Self Maid, I'm chatting with another one of my Booked Out Cleaners members, Ash, from Advanced Commercial Cleaning, about 90 minutes outside Melbourne in rural Victoria.

Ash was bartending when a manager told him they couldn't find a good cleaner and that he'd probably be good at it. He got an ABN, took the shifts, and joined my coaching program in his first month of business.

A year and nine months later, he's approaching half a million dollars in recurring revenue off just 24 clients, with 12 contractors running the work, in a town most people would say is too small to build anything in.

The two days of walking into businesses that turned into 6-figures in recurring revenue, the hiring rule everyone told him never to break that's given him his best workers, and the chair that went through a client's wall on his second ever clean, and why owning up to it is still paying him back today.

Today on Self Maid, I'm chatting with another one of my Booked Out Cleaners members, Julian, from Dust Till Dawn Cleaning, up in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia.

Julian was studying nursing at uni and thinking about switching to a business degree, until he did the maths: three years of theory and a piece of paper, or three years of actually building something. He picked house cleaning because it was the one home service with real recurring revenue, and started from scratch at 21 in a town of 40,000 people he shares with the big franchises.

Twelve months later he's at $140K in recurring revenue, ranking number one locally on Google, and he signed his first employee's contract the morning we recorded this.

In this episode, we get into the real story. The letterbox drop that ate thousands of dollars and returned exactly one lead, the quote overhaul that took him from a 10% close rate to 40% in a single quarter, the free Google Maps scraping method that won him a mechanic shop, two accounting firms and a medical clinic, and the quarterly business health check he runs through AI that told him what to fix before he knew it was broken.

In this instalment of The Booked Out Cleaners Series, I'm chatting with Megan from Valley to Beach Forensic Cleaning in Newcastle.

Megan was a factory worker her whole life until she was made redundant in 2019. She started cleaning for someone else, figured out within a few weeks that she could do it herself, and six and a half years later, she's running two businesses: a residential and commercial company, and a forensic and trauma cleaning operation covering all of NSW. She's doubled the business in the last 18 months and just won her first government tender.

In this episode, we get into the real story. Running two businesses and watching one stall every time she grows the other, what the work actually asks of you, and why she believes the money she puts into herself comes back tenfold.

Ryan was working four jobs when he came across the Self Maid Podcast, and started his cleaning business off the back of it. Under two years later he's got a team of six, a diverse client base, and he's doing it while training ten times a week as a state champion kickboxer.
