Hot damn, my book is finally HERE! After 3 years of working on it it’s finally out in the world and surprisingly it’s NOT a business book. It’s a book about making change in the world.

After three years of weekly content, the team at Erika Tebbens Consulting is taking a summer break!
Historically we’ve replayed much-loved episodes for a portion of the summer months so that content can continue to be published while we work on other things. However, this year we decided to take an actual break so that we can all enjoy more of what matters most in life.
Before we go, Erika has a special message for you. Don’t forget, with over 150 episodes there’s plenty to listen to while we’re away. And you can always reach out to Erika over at ErikaTebbens.com.

Getting support is so essential for sustainable business growth, but that doesn’t mean you need a full-time employee or huge team to get results either.
There are things to consider before you hire, as you’re hiring, and once your new team member joins your team. That’s why I’m thrilled to invite my own business manager Patti Meyer on to share her extensive knowledge around outsourcing and hiring.
Patti has been part of my team for 2 years but she’s been running businesses for nearly 20, and has a wealth of experience when it comes to leading teams and making sure things are working smoothly behind the scenes. She shares her best practices for prepping systems ahead of hiring, deciding on what help you need, finding the best people, and being able to work well with them once they’re hired.
If you’re ready to grow, or even just thinking about it, check out what she’s got to share.
Bio:
Patti Meyer is the Founder and CEO of BizMagic, a Virtual Business Management and Support Agency, where she and her team support female and non-binary entrepreneurs doing good in the world who feel overwhelmed by the back-end tech of their business and need help making it all hum.
BizMagic creates, implements, and teaches the tweaks that help its clients to make a bigger impact with less stress. Patti has been in business management and working with entrepreneurs for over 20 years and her favorite things to do in her business are strategizing with clients, building websites, and helping train her team to support all of BizMagic's clients.
When she's not working, she loves to be in nature or with her kitties.

Are you or have you ever been a perfectionist in at least one area of your life? There’s a good chance the answer to that is “yes.”
Which is why this episode with perfection expert Audrey Holst is going to be so impactful for you.
In this episode she shares what’s REALLY at the root of perfection, how it can rear its ugly head in sneaky ways even if you think you’ve gotten beyond perfection, what to do about it so it doesn’t hold you back or burn you out, and why it’s urgent that we deal with perfection right now.
I’ve learned so much from her over the years and even more in this conversations. It’s such an important topic and can be so damaging for so many reasons.

Did you know you could be sitting on a goldmine in your business? Your intellectual property, or IP, has the potential to be its own income stream without you having to market it!
It may sound too good to be true, but it’s not.
In this episode, I talk with Erin Austin who’s an expert at helping entrepreneurs package and sell their brilliance. You might have a framework or methodology that could be sold in a variety of other formats to bring you more revenue. And it’s possible to sell an entire business if you set things up the right way.
I learned so much in this episode and I know you will too. So even if you aren’t looking into this right now, I suggest listening to get your mind going with ideas of what’s possible in the future.

For the past few years every Monday is my CEO Day and these have become non-negotiable for me.
They are a partial answer to the common complaint of, “I never have enough time to work on my business!” If you are waiting around to find the time, it’ll likely never come. That’s why it’s imperative to intentionally pre-plan it out and get it on the schedule.
It doesn’t matter what day of the week it is, or the frequency, that’s for you to decide. But having them gives you time for the things that help drive future success without leaving you scrambling to get everything done.
Things like financial tracking and forecasting, content planning and creation, business development tasks, strategic planning, and more.
In this episode I walk you through what I do and why it helps me keep momentum toward revenue growth without working more.

Online business can be fraught with frustrations over what we “should” be doing if we want to be successful, but what’s really true? Who made these rules and are they mandatory? What happens if we break them? Will we be liberated and happy or will our businesses fall apart?
In this week’s episode I want to address some of the most common ones, if they are really necessary, and what some alternatives might be. Hopefully this helps to bring you more peace from week to week, and more success too!
In a time where being on social media is really important as a business owner, it can feel hard to draw boundaries around how much time is too much time over there.
It can feel like in order to be successful we need to be all the places all the time, but that’s a recipe for disaster.
Unless you’re outsourcing all of your social to an agency like the one my guest runs, you’re going to crash and burn if you aren’t mindful about social media.
That’s why in this week’s episode I brought social media agency owner and expert Andréa Jones on to talk about her approach to social media mindfulness.
She’s got great insights and tips on how to make the most out of social media for your small businesses without it overtaking your life.

At various points in your business you’ll begin to realize something no longer feels quite right with your brand.
It could be that you’ve pivoted and the message no longer aligns perfectly, or your positioning is different and the visuals no longer match.
Or you just feel like your business has grown up a bit and needs a vibe that matches that growth.
I just went through this process myself, and concept to completion took about six months.
In this episode I’m sharing my best tips with you on how to make the process more successful and less stressful.

I know it seems like when the money is coming in consistently that everything will be wonderful and that the money will smooth everything else over.
That’s rarely the case. Because as your business grows financially, usually your responsibilities do too.
You may have team you pay, larger investments you’ve made, household bills you’re responsible for, etc.
These things are great but can come with their own frustrations.
Not to mention, the world of business is always changing, and we are always changing too.
You might be bored with what you’re offering and ready to pivot, or ready for a huge price increase and terrified about it.
There will always be hard moments but they don’t have to stop our longterm growth.
