The City of San Jose will expand its pilot project placing encore fellows into civic fellowships. Mayor Sam Liccardo has committed $300,000 over three years to test and implement new fellowship models with a goal of developing a blueprint for other cities to leverage encore talent. The David and Lucile Packard Foundation has added funding to for a further six fellows in that three year period.

Heising-Simons Foundation https://www.hsfoundation.org/ is supporting a two-year Encore Fellowships 2.0 pilot to increase the number of Silicon Valley-based Fellows who transition to nonprofit leadership roles after their Fellowships.
