On today's episode, the Oilers are in the Stanley Cup Final and have tied the series at 2 games a piece!! We have a special guest on the podcast today - Canadian Comedian and Actress, Alice Moran! The girls talk about all things Oilers and just what it's like being a girl (tldr: it's brutal out here). We discuss last night's big come back overtime win in Game 4 and how the Oilers seem to love a dramatic storyline no matter how much wear and tear it seems to put on the fan base. The conversation shifts to talking about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce being present at Game 4 and how Taylor's presence brings out the worst kind of misogyny in male sports fans. We continued on to talk about how misogyny is incredibly prevalent in the sports world and how it can be tough, as a woman, to share your opinions when you feel like you're so often going to be silenced. We wrapped up with some talk about how Alice and Jas were both lucky enough to secure tickets to Game 5 on Saturday night in Edmonton, which then transitioned into a discussion about all the people who have come from far and wide to be in Edmonton during this epic playoff run. All this and more on Episode 17 of Between Periods!
