Momodou is a self-described "Black Radical," student of the Shari'a, and an aspiring academic. Raised in the UK, he's been passionate about speaking about social injustices and political activism from a young age. After attaining his Bachelor of Laws from University of East Anglia, Momodou set forth to study the traditional Islamic sciences and is currently a student at Al-Azhar mosque and Markaz Imam Malik in Egypt. This week, we discussed the following: the legacy of Malcolm X and his internationalism, structural racism, the disconnect between scholars and activists, and much more!
