The Shady PHodcast

Shady’s out… so we had to call REINFORCEMENTS! In today’s episode, PH walks into a full-blown ambush as we bring in a special co-host — the one and only Moshe Ndiki — to help hold down the fort and surprise our extraordinary, super talented guest, Sipho Alphi!

We get into the juice of Sipho’s rise in entertainment:

how he ditched the “secure 9-to-5 life” to become a full-time MC, actor, content creator, award-winner and collaborator with some of the biggest global brands out there.

It’s jokes, gems, chaos and career masterclass energy — all in one episode.

*This week, we’re rocking with one of the true tastemakers of the game — the mind behind some of the playlists and music moments you’ve heard on the big screen. He’s the guy who makes all of that happen. Holding one of the dopest titles in the music industry, please welcome Kwelagobe Sekele, Head of Sync, Curation & Playlists at Gallo Music.

We’re diving into everything from Gallo’s 100-year milestone, to streaming revenue, the rise of AI music in the record business, Kanye West postponing his SA tour, and yes… even the Woolies money bag makes an appearance on the show!

This week we get into it on Hot Topics, because honestly? In South Africa, every day is a day you look forward to — not because things are nice, but because the drama is premium. We’re out here accidentally eavesdropping on G20 traffic like it’s a national sport. Then suddenly, haibo, why is Cyril being told to resign again? What did we miss?*

*And as if that’s not enough, we now have local AI music artists popping up like mushrooms after rain! Oh, and of course… the Uber Eats saga. The Minister of Takeout himself, John Seenhuisen, apparently raking up expenses like he’s feeding a small village. You can’t make this stuff up.”
