A client texted that he had arrived, and minutes later she was dead in her apartment, with almost no trace left behind. Within months, police released unusually clear surveillance footage of a man entering and leaving the building in a tight window.

With no match to the burner phone and no public identification from the video, the case shows how even strong leads can stall when key evidence cannot be tied to a name.
