Blaire shares some tips like the days where the fairgrounds are a little more peaceful, vendors that open up earlier and exhibits that might be best for individuals with sensory sensitivities.

Kristi Bushinski fro Mik Mart Ice Cream makes her debut on The Sheletta Show. Sheletta was inspired by Kristi and her family’s origin story for their business. Their son started the business when he was a teenager to help pay hockey expenses and it has blossomed into something that nobody in the family foresaw. It’s a full blown family business that is thriving even though Mik has moved on to pursue other passions.

Sheletta and Kristi also talk about managing the business side of a creative ventures and why the cost of ice cream is going up.

Jen Polzin is the CEO at Tubman. Tubman helps people of all ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds who have experienced relationship violence, sexual exploitation, homelessness, mental and chemical health challenges, and other trauma.

Sheletta and Jen talk about some of the things Tubman is looking for in donations. Full list of items can be found on their website. They also get into how essential it is to receive age appropriate items for older kids.

Children and families receiving support from Tubman’s community-based youth programs, shelter & housing programming, or visiting NorthStar Youth Outreach Center, receive essential support through their annual Back to School Supply Drive.
