  • Episode 17: Creating Your Personal "No Manifesto"

We’ve all been there overwhelmed, over-committed, and exhausted! Between work, parental, and friend and family obligations, it’s easy to get caught up in the river of yes! But did you know the easiest way to relieve yourself of this schedule overwhelm is to embrace the no manifesto? That’s right, the best gift you can give yourself is simply saying no.

Creating a “no manifesto” involves three key steps:

    1. Identify your priorities: what truly matters to you? What are your goals and core values? Write down 5 specific priorities.
    2. Set boundaries: What are you committed to? What are you not committed to? How do you expect people to treat you?
    3. Communicating clearly: Let people know what you’re going to allow and tolerate in your life. Create a clear, concise statement that will be your “no manifesto”!

Saying no can be liberating, and you can create a no manifesto in your personal life and your work life. Today I talk about how to get started, important conversations to have, and how to balance declining and accepting opportunities. Crafting a “no manifesto” can take a little time to get just the way you need it. In this episode, I go over an exercise that can help you make this commitment to yourself.

If you create a “no manifesto," I’d love to see it and support you, so please send me an email.

    What’s Inside:

    • The power of saying no.
    • Protecting your peace and energy.
    • How to create a “no manifesto”.
    • Saying no in your personal and professional lives.

Being a curvy business owner in a Barbie world is no easy feat. Shattering the mold for curvy queens and boss babes, I believe that success comes in all sizes. There are numerous challenges when you don't fit society's narrow mold, as the world often glorifies a single standard of beauty. Unique obstacles arise from societal expectations to internal struggles, which I understand deeply as a plus-size woman who has almost always struggled with weight, as most women have.

Working with many women, I see the struggles with self-esteem and want you to know you’re not alone. Despite these challenges, you can rise above them with success and confidence. You have the right to be at the table, on the stage, and to own your success.

I want to encourage you to find your way to resilience and self-acceptance.

  • Episode 15: Unleashing the Fearless Woman: Embracing A Life Without Limits

While listening to another podcast, I heard a thought-provoking question: "What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?" This question opens a window into our deepest affirmations and provides a chance to reframe our approach to life's opportunities. By examining these "little prisms" of possibility, we realize that we are often our own limit, held back by fear and self-doubt. Identifying our true dreams can help overcome the barriers that prevent us from achieving success.

I share my personal story of recovering from Guillain-Barré syndrome to illustrate that everyone faces struggles, insecurities, and fears, and it's perfectly okay to have them. However, we must not let these challenges stop us. Taking action toward our dreams and against our challenges can be empowering, enabling us to take control of our lives and make decisions for ourselves, by ourselves.

    Today’s Affirmation and Self-Reflection:

Courage launches me above my fears. (Tune in for the expanded affirmation)

    1. What have I learned from past failures?
    2. What do I need courage for today?
    3. Why should I act in the midst of failure?
