It may not be your birthday but you so deserve to give yourself this gift. We’re talking about forgiveness. Sometimes it may feel like forgiveness is for others, but you are serving yourself greatly by being open to forgiving those who have wronged or betrayed you.
Anger, revenge, and hostility are wastes of energy for people who are likely not devoting any energy to you. There are immense benefits to forgiveness. Today, I share with you my own vulnerable story of forgiveness, along with some important reasons to consider when it comes to being a forgiving person.
Just a few great reasons for forgiveness I touch on today are; living in the past steals your present and taints your future. Failing to forgive creates misery; pleasant thoughts promote a pleasant mood. The more forgiving you are, the more others will be willing to forgive you. Living a perfect life and making perfect decisions just isn't possible. Forgiveness might be the best form of *revenge*. Finally, happiness and peace support a healthy life.
Today’s Affirmation and Self-Reflection:
Forgiveness is a gift I give to myself. (Tune in for the expanded affirmation)

What if I’m doing things wrong? What if my kids don’t turn out right? What if they grow to resent me? The list goes on and on and on. Did you feel these things? Raise your hand...my hand’s up too! The toughest job that ever existed…mom. We wear so many hats and master so many roles, and yet we are still humans. We want our children to be good people, contributing members of society, and, above all, happy.
We often feel guilty for getting angry, saying the wrong thing, comparing ourselves to other parents and families, and falling victim to financial comparison. Symptoms of mom guilt are usually second guessing your decisions, dwelling on mistakes, and always feeling like you’re doing something wrong.
It may be hard, but it is so important to take time to validate your child’s feelings, ask for forgiveness when you need to, ask for help and support, stop comparing your children, and realize it’s okay to not have all the answers. As you look back on your time as a mother, you may have regrets. That's life. But you will have learned, and you will have grown. Give yourself grace; you try your best each day, and that’s what matters.

I eliminate comparison from my thoughts. (Tune in for the expanded affirmation)

What will matter most to you at the end of your life? For me, it's being a wonderful wife, mother, and daughter, and that I really, truly helped the people I could. It’s easy to be distracted by the roles, hats, and shiny objects we encounter in life, but you don’t have to lose your identity.
Consider these questions as you work toward finding your focus for a fulfilled life; Where do you want to be in your career? What can you do to move forward with your career aspirations? How are your personal relationships? How can you strengthen these bonds? Where are you spiritually? What can you do to further develop your spiritual life?
You have the power to choose the destiny you deserve.

You can reach a time of abundance and financial security. I want to share with you steps that have helped me move from a scarcity mindset into one of abundance.
Now, an abundance mindset isn't magic, and abundance is not all about money. You can be the wealthiest person in the world and never live in abundance. But removing feelings of scarcity and shifting into a mindset of abundance will allow you to enthusiastically take the necessary steps in your life to get there.

Negative people can harm your attitude if you're not careful. It’s important to be weary of the cycle of negativity and getting stuck in this ugly circle of negative ideas and opinions. You usually don’t have to look too far for negative people in your life, but you can protect yourself by putting up a parameter. An “Electric Fence” of safety.
You can’t control people, but you can influence them. Even just implementing a few of these techniques can have a powerful impact on not only your own life but others.

In this special episode, I am joined by a fairly new friend and colleague, Scaling Strategist Kara Renninger. We connect over the idea that it is up to us to choose something different for our lives and our business. Making a big impact in the world really matters to Kara and to do that, you have to be driven, direct, and honest.
Many people don’t really say what they want in life or in business, but if you don’t get clear, come out and say it. It’s unlikely to happen. In our society, too often, women possessing these qualities of purpose, translate into ‘being bitchy’. But that is not the case. We do not have to use small talk to step around important issues; it’s okay and even admirable to be direct about what you think. The more you are able to use your voice and speak out, the more success you will see, in your relationships and business alike.
We also discuss motivation, and the truth behind staying motivated is peer support and a powerful mindset. You can change your business or your life, but ya gotta get off your couch and get right in your mind. If you’re a woman who knows there is more out there for you, you are absolutely right. And if you don't have the support to push you there, you need to reach out to me, to Kara. You need to have positive advocates in your life.
