The Sermon on the Mount is over and Jesus is heading home.

But it turns out that's the BEGINNING of the story, not the end.

Matthew uses the next events to tell us how Jesus lived out what he preached, to give us evidence we could trust about who Jesus might be, and to encourage us to live our lives as agents of the Kingdom. And this, too, is just the beginning...

On behalf of myself and the times it may seem that I have said anything like that, I apologize. I should have been paying attention to what Jesus taught and demonstrated so I could apply it to my life rather than judging others.

Jesus told his followers to be perfect, like God is perfect.

What on earth does that mean?
