What is coming in 2020? Greater opportunities to connect with one another, and to grow and mature in the faith.

Today we look at the strange events that surround the birth of Jesus, and we are reminded of a sovereign God who is orchestrating all things for His glory.

What about the times in our lives, in which our expectations to match our current reality? In this we pause, and trust in God's activity within our lives...for His glory.

1 Peter 1:3-9

Today we launch "Anticipate" - our Advent Series. Advent is centered around promise. It is looking back at the birth of Jesus and seeing the fulfilled promise of a Messiah. It is also looking forward to the promised return of Jesus.

Today, we start our series by looking forward to meeting Jesus. What does it look like to live as "Homesick People?"

Luke 7:18-35

Today we look at the subject of unbelief. We see unbelief in both 1) John the Baptist, and 2) Pharisees/lawyers.

How did they handle their unbelief?

How did they get answers?

What can we learn from them?

Luke 7:11-17

Today we see Jesus bring back to life a dead young man. As we see Jesus' ability - it says something about His position and authority, and grows our belief.

Luke 7:1-10

Today we see grace extended to a centurion.

Within this we are:

1) In awe of the compassion / ability of Jesus.

2) Confronted with the times that we harbor a unforgiving attitude towards others.

Luke 6:37-42

Today the text deals with growing in a character that more reflects the character of Jesus.

Some of the questions we address are:

How does this apply when it comes to "judging?"

How does this apply when it comes to forgiving?

How does this apply to being generous?

Can I see where I am going?

How do I make an assessment of my spiritual growth?
