    In this episode, Trisha interviews Loren Rosario-Maldonado who was part of Trisha’s mastermind group in CQ Fellows 2023. Loren is a Keynote speaker and the award-winning author of “Becoming The Change: The Power of Cultural Intelligence”.     In this episode Trisha discusses recent tragic events in Sydney. She describes people’s reactions and the different perspectives people took. Looking through the lens of learnings from earlier episodes Trisha considers people’s responses. She reflects on the impact of such events on individuals, groups and society and the impact that has on people at work.   • Tim Barrett - Cultural Intelligence for High School Students

    This week Trisha sits down (IN PERSON! - sorry for the sound quality) with Tim Barrett the head of Saint Andrews Institute of Learning in Noosa, Australia to discuss how he's helping students recognise those moments of Shift and expanding their knowledge of cultural intelligence.

    They discussed techniques teachers use to help students develop empathy and to think differently in the learning processes. Tim referenced Project Zero and visible thinking routines from Harvard University and spoke about how he uses these tools in designing learning experiences including an e-learning Cultural Intelligence course he has designed for students.

  • Greg Dearsly - Cultural Intelligence and Workplace Health and Safety

    In this episode, Trisha speaks with Greg Dearsly, an Occupational Health and Safety Consultant AND a certified Cultural Intelligence Facilitator. Greg lives and works in Aotearoa New Zealand.

    They speak about the impact of culture on safety at work and the need for Health and Safety Professionals to have a strong people focus and high cultural intelligence.

    Greg shares sobering statistics about the impact of poor workplace health and safety in New Zealand and his passion to respectfully reach everyone within a workplace to improve that. And reaching everyone with respect means understanding where they are coming from, the languages and cultures they live within, and how aspects such as neurodiversity shape how people show up at work. And that needs cultural intelligence!

  • Tanya Crossman - Third Culture Kids

    In this episode Trisha interviews Tanya Crossman. Tanya is the Director of Research and International Education at TCK Training, and also offers intercultural consulting and coaching services. She has lived in four countries, and has nearly two decades of experience working with Third Culture Kids and international families.

    They discuss TCKs -Third Culture Kids -and their experience of living in other cultures and how their perspectives of that culture are often different to their parents. Tanya’s research into TCKs and their identity formation and the shifts they make as the develop their own awareness are illustrated with her own experiences.

  • Grace Boker Mungkaje - Deciding when to climb the tree.

    In this episode, Trisha speaks with Grace Boker Mungkaje a Forensic Auditor from Papua New Guinea. Grace speaks about growing up as a Third Culture Kid (TCK) in the USA, returning to PNG and making cultural shifts as she was selected for opportunities and scholarships around the world. Her awareness of the need for cultural shifts began young as she was told not to climb the trees in her village in PNG after returning from the USA. We also speak about the need for Auditors to have cultural intelligence in their work as they build bridges across organisational cultures.

    Grace's global moves included relocating to Australia where she met Trisha - then as she was awarded a Chevening Scholarship, completing a Masters Degree in Forensic Audit and Accounting she moved to Wales. Later she was selected to be a part of the Young Pacific Leaders group an Australian award– and then more recently selected to be a part of the US Professional Fellows program where she went and worked in the USA.
