In light of the online bullying of Team Canada's captain after their loss to Team Finland, do we need to start doing something about cyberbullying? 

Global's Janet Brown interviewed Hockey Canada CEO Tom Renney, and Tom had a lot to say including calling for senior levels of government to come up with legislation to deal with cyberbullying. 

Plus, we talked perogies! Lily, a caller from Edmonton called us to tell us about the Orthodox Christmas Eve, where you celebrate with 12 meatless dishes, and perogies was one of them. She mentioned cottage cheese perogies, and the phones went crazy!

Bird Box is a new movie from Netflix that went live over the holidays...it's about monstrous entities that compel any human who sees them to quickly try to kill themselves.  Part of the plot is that you have to keep your eyes covered...or you're dead!  The Bird Box Challenge has led to people getting hurt, which has led to Netflix tweeting about it.  We chat to afternoon drive guy Drew Dalby from Regina's 1049 The Wolf who is really annoyed with the Bird Box Challenge.

Plus, did you hear the one about the guy who tried to kill a spider...and then the police show up?  Well, it happened in Australia.  We also discover that in the last 5 years, 3 guys have burnt their houses down trying to kill spiders.

Global News has obtained some federal government internal polling on the carbon tax that Ottawa has imposed on Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and New Brunswick.  Women support it, men not so much.  But some Canadians see it firmly as a tax grab, including Andrew Scheer.

There's a lot of nasty stuff on twitter, but occasionally you'll find something positive and awesome...like a game started by Kyle Ashley in Toronto that went viral: Tell me your age based on a famous event, person,show etc. from the year you were born.  We chat with Kyle about the game and play a radio version of it.

Plus, Ontario now has the toughest distracted driving laws in the country...you could get a fine for $1000 for your first offense.  But as we found out from caller Dan in Toronto who works in law enforcement, it could turn out to be much more expensive than you think.
