On March 4, 2024, Chris Neal of CN Productions and Rising Stars announced the richest breakaway roping event in the history of the sport—the Kimes Ranch Million Dollar Breakaway Roping.

The roping will take place in Scottsdale, Arizona, Nov. 27-30, 2024, and will pay out $1 million across a 10-round Open format.
