Flying solo this week, Eric reminisces about a couple of his favorite boss fights. Having completed Death's Door on Xbox over the past weekend, the one sided conversation asks what makes a boss fight memorable? What is the anatomy of a good boss fight? When are boss fights utilized correctly? When are boss fights a detriment to the game or story being told? The show wraps up with some listener responses to the question, "What are some of the most memorable boss fights of all time?"

Life is busy but Tom and Eric find some time to record this weekend! It has been a few weeks since the lawsuit filed against Activision Blizzard and a lot has happened. The guys break down what exactly is happening at one of the industry's biggest companies, how to process it, what can we do about it, and issues in the gaming industry in general. They then switch gears to talk about the recent Pokemon Presents which gave us more information on Brilliant Diamond, Shining Pearl, and Legends: Arceus. Eric and Tom then round out the episode with everyone's favorite new segment, PokeDex Please!

Tom is solo hosting this week's episode and he is ready to 1v1 ALL challengers. Tom is a long time fighting game fan and in this episode he talks about his history with the genre, why it means so much to him, his favorite fighting games, how to get good (along with some great life encouragement!), and shedding more light on an under-appreciated genre of video games.

Eric and Tom didn't really come with a plan this week, so they embrace the randomness and decide to see where it takes them. Discussions include but aren't limited to; the announcement of the Final Fantasy IX animated series, why translating stories from games to shows/movies is difficult, the differences between games and shows/movies that affect the way stories are told, Final Fantasy 7 and what its remake means for older franchises looking for new life, and the unique and sometimes insane game development styles of Tetsuya Nomura and Hideo Kojima. You wanted a real sidequest? YOU GOT A REAL SIDEQUEST.
