The Simple Christian

Ephesians 5:8-9

Allow yourself not to be conquered by the trials by what this life brings. Christ has endure through it all. Christ has given us the strength of the Holy Spirit and His Word that we will one day be with him after all of this on earth has gone and passed away. 

As followers of Christ, let us focus on today and allow Christ worry about tomorrow, and in the mean time, lets worship Christ through every struggle and through every pain.

Here's a story about the virus and how it relates to me at work and everything else.

Here is some advice as it pertains to this epidemic. 

how often do we seek the opportunities to solve others issues? maybe, we want to give others advice but we don't allow them to fully explain themselves, so we find ourselves cutting others off before they get to the end. 

sharing the Gospel or navigating the Gospel isn't a horse-race. We are not here to win Kudos in conversation for saying the wisest thing or phrase. We are here to share the gospel but in doing so, we must be willing to Hear, Speak and Listen.  

Previously I spoke on effects of Distractions, today, I invited my friend Derek to give us more of an insight in this dilemma that we often get ourselves ensnared in. how does distractions effect our walk with Christ? does it help us or hinder us? does it build and edify or destroy and distance us from effective Christian growth?

Hebrews 12:1-2

Distractions essentially robs our focus from God to ourselves. Ultimately slowing us down and gradually pushing us away from the things of God.

Gossiping, Babblers and understanding. 

Here I share my thoughts on these particular verses.  

For someone who was out of the music industry for 2 years, you'll expect them to return with great substance.

Titles are lovely but also heavy in responsibilities. 

Christian titles are seen as grab bags but they are really heavy duty positions. not to be taken lightly but Christian titles dont save anymore than non-Christian titles.

lets not take these positions given to us by God and turn them against ourselves with religious motives.

IS God looking for a "religious" people? people who know Him only through laws and ordinances but no relationship?

Is the human soul satisfied with reciting prayers and attending Sunday service that we dont yearn for an intimate relationship with our Savior?

Was Jesus not slightly annoyed in Luke 11 with the Pharisees and how they have "burdensome" the people their many laws?

Jesus is looking for a people who understands their need for a savior and not trying to earn their way to heaven through deeds or religious loopholes.
