July 21, 2021 Top 3 Reasons People Leave the Church/Faith
There are obviously hundreds of reasons people leave the Church, ranging from "the pastor left" to "graduating high school and entering College". From the Church pushing Tithing to Church Doctrine or Musical Style being changed.
Not only are people leaving The Church but they're even being drawn away and discouraged from their intimate relationship with Jesus. Are their Valid reasons to leave the Church, if so, at what cost? Where are we then to go after we leave? Is it Gods plan for us to be alone and not strive for fellowship with the saints?
Nothing weighs heavier in my heart than the falling away of a believer or even "Possible Believer". With all of that being said, lets remind ourselves we will take account of our actions with God for what we do in this side of Heaven.

When all we see is the “down fall” of others, we begin to not see the “down fall” of ourselves. We become unappreciative of the Work that God has done to others by making “Swiss Cheese” theories of people’s journey with God and the things that God is doing. All is said to cover up a bigger issue that lies within ourselves that can hinder growth and a true relationship with Jesus.

Decision making can be difficult, especially when a person's character is at play. They either have a “Quitter” mentality or a “Go Getter” one. It isn’t always the words that you say that will fix the issue but your presence that is enough to express your love. Assume there’s an argument and you had the correct formula to devastate your opponent, your wife or husband. Let's say, they did not see it coming. You await the opportunity to land the blow and you finally deliver the profound blow. You win the argument and put your significant other in a trance. So now what? You won the argument but are left still living with this person and feeling a long lasting awkwardness. You then come to the sense that winning didn’t always feel pleasure-full or nearly as satisfying.
Avoid trying to be D.Phil.
*issues are not mathematical
* issues aren’t always best resolved logically
* allow the Holy Spirit to guide your next steps

Communication is Key
*Proverbs 15:1 -- “A soft word turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
* “Listen with the intent to understand and not with the intent to respond”
* Counter Lies with Truth and not opinions.
Don’t be full of word and talk, devoid of deeds and truth.
*Words fall short where actions speak louder
*Being right isn’t always right (Arguments drag out because one is too stubborn to forgive and the other is too proud to apologize.
*Ephesians 5:25: "For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her."
