In this episode of The Simple Home Podcast, we'll get the clutter out of your garage!
The garage or any other storage space are usually home to lots of stuff! That's what makes it such a large project to tackle. In the US, 82% of homes have a garage, but only 15% of people park in them. In the UK, 53% of homes have garages, and only 23% of people park in them. (according to an article published by BBC) I'm guessing this is a trend in many other parts of the world as well and might have something to do with all the stuff we house in our garages.
Over the next week or so, I want you to use these tips to declutter and organize your closet and bedroom so you have a relaxing space to start and end each day.
Each week of this series, we'll take on a new space in your home. By the end of this series you'll feel lighter and more peaceful in your home. Plus you'll have the skills you need to work through other spaces as well as maintain the clutter free home you've created. Take a deep breath and take one step at a time. You'll never regret the time it takes to simplify and you'll get the time back tenfold once you're done!
In this episode of The Simple Home Podcast we'll talk about strategies to declutter and organize your kitchen!

It's that time of year again where we set new goals and reflect on our past goals.
The fresh start of a new year can be both encouraging and paralyzing. Thinking about all the things you wanted to do the past year, but never even started. Or maybe it's something you've had on your goal list for the past several years and still haven't made any headway. According to a recent study, out of those that make New Year's Resolutions, only 9% feel successful at the end of the year.
According to a recent study, out of those that make New Year's Resolutions, only 9% feel successful at the end of the year.
What do you think? Have you been one of those 9% or do you usually fall in with other 91% of people? Just like everything else, it takes a plan and the time/energy to put the plan into action to reach a goal.
In this episode of The Simple Home Podcast we discuss the idea of pruning and making room in our lives to be able to achieve our goals for 2022.

We make an average of 35,000 decisions everyday. It's no wonder, when it comes to making big or important decisions we can feel almost paralyzed at times. Even the small decisions can feel heavy.
Indecision can hold you back from so many things. What I've found from working with hundreds of moms is that the biggest hurdle to simplify is just making decisions.
Do I want to get rid of this? Will I need it in the future? Will my kids suffer if I take them out of some activities? Should I homeschool or send my kids to public school?
On top of the daily decisions we make, everything is constantly changing. Our kids keep growing. Jobs change. Stages of life change. The discipline that worked one day, no longer works the next.
In this episode of The Simple Home Podcast we'll talk about change, making decisions, and allowing for the unexpected. I'll tell you about some big changes coming up over the next couple months in my life, how I've landed on the decisions I've made, and what it means for this podcast.
I believe that true simplicity can only be achieved through decisiveness. The understanding of what you want and allowing yourself to go after it. If you want a clutter free home, make decisions quickly on what to keep and what to let go of. If you want to save money, be decisive about what you are willing to spend money on and what you are willing to give up. And so on and so on.
