Psalm 34:1-9
Are we prepared to handle the stresses that life throws our way? Do we have the disciplines in place to prepare ourselves ahead of time - before the thing hits us (whatever that thing is)? The Bible gives us some insights about how to make sure we have our minds and hearts prepared for this life and all that entails living here on planet Earth. In this episode, we examine what those disciplines look like, and how we can live a daily life of victory - unshaken by all of life's pressures.

Deuteronomy 6:1-9
Words. We've all been in situations where someone's words have hurt us or have bothered us. And haven't we all (at one time or another) said something we wish we hadn't? Scripture gives us lots of counsel about this, and also gives us tools to help us not be so affected by words that someone has said to us or about us. What are those tools we can have handy in our toolbox? Listen in!

Do you feel energized when you eat good, healthy food? Conversely, do you sometimes feel awful when you overdo unhealthy food? In the same way, ingesting the pure Word of God will make us spiritually healthy, and wrong teaching can potentially weaken us spiritually. How do we discern what we are being taught? We will unpack all of this in today's episode.
I Peter 2:1-5
In this episode, we talk about the first few verses of Psalm 91, which is a beautiful picture of abiding with God. How do we arm ourselves against the world and everything it throws at us so we are able to abide? Tune in to see how God's Word equips us for this very thing.
Psalm 91
Ephesians 6
In today's episode, we chat about scriptures that encourage us to only move forward, and not dwell on the past. Our life in Christ is always pressing forward, never backward. Listen in to hear how we are called to a life of tomorrows, not yesterdays.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Philippians 3:13-14
In Psalm 9:1-3, David provides us with his secret to overcoming the enemy. We have victory over our flesh and any bit of divided loyalty we may have outside of God, if only we learn to make praise a habit. Transforming our mind, and then releasing praise to Him, is the power we have to defeat whatever enemies try to separate us from fully living a God-centered life.
The bible talks about all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge, but really the only way to comprehend this is by understanding the depths of the Word. In this episode we talk about how to have our "understanding enlightened" (Ephesians 1:18) so we can live a life fully energized and with clear purpose of what God has given each one of us.
The book of James gives us example after example of the importance of demonstrating our faith in the way we interact with others. James talks about the power of our tongue - our words can build up or tear down. In chapter 3, verses 17 and 18, we learn the attributes of God's wisdom, and the fruit of being faithful to Him. With the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can express His ultimate wisdom to others through our words and actions.
