The Diet Diaries

The simplest way to begin shifting your negative body image

Listen Later

Today I’m talking about one of the most common and damaging words we use to talk about ourselves-and that is the way we use the word fat.

We have weaponized the word fat to be the absolute worst possible thing we could ever be.

And until we learn to strip away the emotion we’ve assigned to that word, we won’t be able to change anything about how we feel about our bodies.

One of the simplest ways you can begin to improve your body image is to stop using the word fat to talk about yourself in a negative, judgmental, critical way.

We’ve taken something that is 100% normal (body fat) and transformed it into something that is a problem to be fixed.

I share a couple of specific skills you can start practicing and also invite you to join my free online workshop Body Image Reboot where I’m going to talk through why negative body image is such a pervasive problem and what you can actually do about it, without feeling like another diet is your only shot at happiness.
