Earlier this week, we shared part one of this conversation, all about how to rediscover yourself after grief and trauma. And let me just say, this profound conversation has stuck with me ever since. So many things that Michele shared so far have come up in my dreams, in my conversations with others, and in my thoughts this week. I hope the same is true for you.
Now, if you haven't heard part one, go back and listen to that one first. But if you're ready to continue on, let's pick back up here with my conversation with author Michele Neff Hernandez as she simplifies how to rediscover yourself after grief and trauma.
It's time to simplify…
Here's how.
My special guest today is Michele Neff Hernandez and she's simplifying how to rediscover yourself after grief + trauma. We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including:
All this month, we've been focused on simplifying different aspects of our body for better understanding on how our body, mind, and spirit are inner-connected. This powerful conversation tackles it from a slightly different angle and I'm so thrilled to share it with you.
Take it slow, take deep breaths along the way, and more importantly, talk to someone about this episode.Just one person to help you remove some of the burden off your shoulders and slowly move forward on your path. We were never meant to tackle life alone. You've got me, heart wide open, running alongside you as well. Just breathe, my friend.
Q: Are you ready to rediscover yourself after grief + trauma? If yes, this one is for you. It's time to #DoTheThing

If you've experienced a loss recently, I'm sure you've also felt the effects of grief and trauma as well. Somewhere along the way, you might have lost yourself, too. Let's talk about that.
My special guest today is author Michele Neff Hernandez and she's simplifying how to rediscover yourself after grief and trauma. Truth is, with this pandemic, every single one of us on the planet collectively have lost something these last few years. Big or small, that trauma stay stuck in our bodies and it needs time and intentional space to process it as part of the healing process.
Here's how.

Earlier this week, we shared part one of this conversation, all about how to say no to diet culture. And this builds on our theme for the month, talking all about our physical bodies. My hope is that you did the homework and talked to a friend about what you learned in part one… and that opened a dialogue for healing.
Now, if you haven't heard part one, go back and listen to that one first. But if you're ready to continue on, let's pick back up here with my conversation with author Autumn Shields as she simplifies how to say no to diet culture.

Let's talk about an insidious little thing called diet culture - why (and how) to say no to it. It's the culprit behind why Americans spend over $30 billion on diet products annually and an estimated 45 million Americans go on a diet each year. But what is it, really? Diet culture, in short, is that collective set of social expectations that puts value on thinness above all else, which in turn, impacts how we view our bodies and treat others. When you don't fit the mold, diet culture drives a wedge between you and the rest of society… and your body is to blame.

Treat your body like a temple. We've all heard that notion before. It's in the Bible too (if you read that) over at 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, if you're curious. But what does it ACTUALLY mean? How do we treat our bodies better, overall and throughout this year ahead? Well, let's simplify that!
You can do this, I believe in you.

Time for a guided visualization exercise: ask yourself, what is your body trying to tell you right now? Based on the popularity of last month's guided visualization episode, I've decided to release one on the first Tuesday of every month this season. How does it work? Simple! Let my voice be a guide for you as you focus inward to help you tap into your inner wisdom and Intuition for answers.

Let's talk about how to form new habits that stick. Okay, okay, I'm curious… raise your hand if you were totally fired up at the beginning of this month to start afresh, change your life, or maybe flip one or two bad habits into better ones? Yup, me too. Now, keep your hand raised if you stuck with it all?
Energetically, I just felt a ton of hands went down all around the world… woof, me too! I think if we step back and zoom out a bit, we'd see that there is so much more at play here then what we thought at first glance.
Why do we, as humans, seem to have a hard time setting and sticking with new habits? Listen in to today's episode to find out why and what we can do to change that.Show notes available with all LINKS mentioned here:https://thesimplifiers.com/podcast/how-to-form-new-habits-that-stick

How and where do you find deeper purpose in your life? My goodness, that's a BIG question to tackle…. and a vital one, too. So, we're jumping in head-first to see what we can uncover.
My special guest today is author Dan Millman and he's simplifying how to find deeper purpose in life. Now, you may be familiar with Dan as he wrote the book, Way of the Peaceful Warrior: A Book That Changes Lives many moons ago… or you may be new to his work.
Either way, he brings to the table so much heartfelt wisdom on how to turn intentions into action, challenges into strength, and life experience into wisdom. And when we do that, we begin to realize that there are no ordinary moments in life… when you look again, you realize that every moment has the bright opportunity to be mind-blowing and spectacular if you slow down to really see it. And when you do, Dan believes that your deeper purpose shines back at you.
Here's how.

Let's do a guided visualization exercise together: here's how to visualize a new path for your life. Something that I love doing with my coaching clients is to lead them through guided visualization exercises and the thought occurred to me, "why not do these on the podcast, as well?!" So in today's mini episode, I'm going to lead you through a guided meditation and visualization that's going to help you tap into your inner wisdom and Intuition for answers.
Listen and participate in a guided visualization exercise: how to visualize a new path for your life. One final whisperThis year, I want to encourage you to remember… most answers that you seek are already inside you now. Whether you believe in God or a higher power or something else at play here, just remember this deep inner wisdom can be found inside you now… and any time you feel lost, overwhelmed or stressed.
Just slow down, tune in with your body and your breath, do this visualization exercise whenever you need it, and ask.
Gone are the days of looking outside yourself for a magic pill or a guru on a pedestal to fix us.This year, consider the simple idea that your Intuition knows. Your body knows. Your brain and your heart know. And it's all waiting for you to simply ask, trust, and then decide to take daily, imperfect action by making Bold Asks.
To visualize a new path for your life, it's just a matter of slowing down and listening to what your soul truly wants and where Source truly needs you next. You can do this, I believe in you.
It's time to SIMPLIFY.
