After a hiatus we're back with a wrap of recent events, including the success of WA breweries in major beer competitions.

In this edition we catch up with Brendan Day from Cheeky Monkey Brewery to talk about its success and expansion into a new production facility in Vasse, just up the road from its existing brewpub.

The Godfather of Australian brewing, Chuck Hahn, joins us to talk about his latest work and some of the other great beers he has been behind for more than 30 years.

Hahn Crisp has just been launched and it was one of his most challenging brews. The new drop is gluten-free to give coeliacs that like a beer an option.

But Chuck Hahn also talks about some of his other great incarnations, including the widely successful James Squire 150 Lashes and his love for Pilsener. 

And you won't guess what his favourite amongst all the beers he has been involved with at Hahn, Malt Shovel and the great Lion breweries.

It is one of the best days on the WA brewing industry calendar. The South West Craft Beer Festival returns to Busselton with more than 20 beer and cider producers showcasing their wares.

When it started the SWCBF featured eight breweries. So The Sip delves into the event's history and how it has grown to highlight one of the most productive beer regions in the country.

Festival founder Jason Dover and his deputy Jack Rogers discuss the SWCBF and what the 3000-strong crowd can expect at Signal Park.

It is a remote location for a brewery but Froth Craft Beer has found a good home in the northern WA town of Exmouth.

In the latest episode we catch up with one of Froth's co-founders and head brewer, Tyler Little, about how a beer operation can not only survive but thrive in a small municipality. And Tyler reveals how Froth gets its beers around the State considering the hundreds, if not thousands, of miles distance between towns.
