Now, both parties come together to end the series discussing each other's point of view, what protection looks like for black women, heavy conversation centered on ceasing the term "devil's advocate" when it comes to black women experiencing domestic violence, getting our Ph.D. in listening intently and how we proceed forward amicably as a clan.

In this episode, Black women, in their nurturing, soothing way, encourages black men to seek therapy, unlearn bad ideology passed down from parents, (mothers specifically), and do the work in order to better show up for black women.

Episode 14 is a 4 or 5 part series that will involve discourse with black women first and then black men in various episodes. With so much disrespect aimed in the direction of THE black woman by society and unfortunately black men, our queens will discuss the animus aimed their way, their feelings about it and how black men can better support them.

A trip to the Whitney Plantation in Louisiana initially set out to serve as a history lesson between a daughter and father.

Who knew it would spark a movement after a photo of 15 black Tulane Medical Students went viral, an idea sparked by Dr. Russell Ledet, Co-Founder and President of what is now known as The 15 White Coats. 

Myself and Dr. Ledet have a therapy session the first hour of the pod where we discuss our frustration with being black in America over the past few weeks with the death of #GeorgeFloyd, #BreannaTaylor and other unfortunate deaths of black people at the bloody hands of police.

We then discuss how The 15 White Coats was created, its intended purpose and how it serves as a representation of inspiration and hope for the next generation of children to pursue medical careers.
