  • PEACE AND LOVE

This one took a while to write. I started writing it before Untitled 10.0, but I struggled to find the words because I couldn't easily access the emotions I needed to write this.

I had to dig deep and induce certain feelings from a lifetime ago. I almost got pulled into a dark place again, but thankfully, I have a good support system, and they did not even realize they were keeping me afloat just so I could write this extremely short piece (one of the shortest I've ever written).
I made a decision to start tapping into trauma I've experienced in the last decade to fuel my writing. I'm scared of what might unfold, but I'm excited as well.
Like a special person always says, "different truths can co-exist"
So we're doing this. Join me on this journey and remember to show your support along the way by sharing, liking and commenting on my posts.
The best is yet to come. Oh! And I'm working on a book. 📚😈

  • Colorful (M.I.L.E.S.T.O.N.E)

We often get caught up in the idea that we are different because of our various cultural backgrounds and the color of our skin.

"Colorful" reminds us that ultimately we are human, and we are one race.

Each milestone concludes or begins an experience.

M.I.L.E.S.T.O.N.E  is my official introduction to the poetry/spoken word space.

I made a decision to introduce myself and bless the world with my talents.

This piece was written years ago on a bus after months of writer's block.

A lot of people find themselves in similar situations; lost, confused and angry.
