In this episode the Sisters discuss cardiovascular disease aka heart disease, which is the number one killer of Americans. We’ve all been hearing a lot lately about heart disease as a risk factor for more severe disease if you contract COVID-19. Someone has a heart attack about every 40 seconds, and dies from a cardiovascular event every minute. Also concerning is how COVID-19 is greatly affecting the Black community, this is due to underlying health conditions such as high blood pressure, obesity, and diabetes.
Heart disease encompasses many different conditions which is explained during this episode.
