In our most controversial episode yet, Patrick and I (Seb) talk about whether or not it's okay to watch, and even enjoy, a film made by a monster. A real monster. Victor Salva is a convicted child molester and his film Jeepers Creepers was a sleeper hit back in 2001. It tells the story of two siblings on a cross-country road trip, finding themselves targeted by an ancient monster that wants to consume them. Wee talk about the ethics of aesthetics vs. idealogy, whether it is okay to watch something made by sex-abuser, and the film itself in and out of those contexts.

Patrick and I (Seb) check out the pioneering moment in Queer Cinema, Derek Jarman's low budget epic SEBASTIANE (1976). The film itself explores the final days and eventual martyrdom of the patron saint of arrows himself. We explore the themes, talk about the production and how the saint itself eventually became adopted by the rainbow community as a powerful symbol of redemption.

Whore (1991) arguably Ken Russell's most controversial and, perhaps, little-seen magnum opus, deals with Liz - a prostitute working the day-to-day grind. In this satire, the Russell' (both Ken, the director, and Theresa Russell, who plays Liz) delve into the world of hooking, offering a unique take and send-up on the hook-with-the-heart-of-gold myth propagated by Pretty Woman (1990).

Dirk Bogarde is being blackmailed by un unknown assailant threatening to expose his closeted lifestyle. Patrick and I (Seb) analyse this landmark film - not just in queer history but in cinema history as well.

Radio Samurai (2002) was one of the most important, original Australian feature films release in the 2000's. This episode, I talk with co-star of Radio Samurai and associate producer of The Sixth Dimension NATHAN HILL about his experiences on set and what he learned along the way.
