Ed and Lorraine Warren were a household name throughout the 60s and 70s for their work with what they call “demonology.” There have been many skeptics throughout the years, some calling them frauds, while others call them saviors. All in all, whatever you may think of this couple, they’ve definitely achieved one thing in particular: to get inside your head and make you question reality, even if it’s for a moment. Not only that, they also have achieved on making their name known once again, after almost 40 years passed from when their work was getting published. 

MJ and Marva take on an iconic franchise that was popularized by James Wan and his direction of the majority of the franchise. They talk about the movie that started it all and had people reacting to the film the same way the masses did with the Exorcist, the Conjuring. No one in that family thought that by moving into a new house, their lives would literally get turned on its head. One thing is for sure though, this movie caused a domino effect of more stories of the Warren couple to be produced into movies and their stories to be popularized once again.

An iconic ending has come to an iconic show, and to be completely honest it’s both fulfilling and heart wrenching to say the least. About 10 years has passed since the start of Stranger Things, and now, it’s come to a full end. The second volume of season 5 and the finale tie up a lot of the loose ends the Duffer Brothers had with the characters of Stranger Things. 

The theories that were circulating the internet on how this story is coming to an end were incredible, but the ending the cast and crew brought to this show was something that couldn’t have been executed a better way. Mike was able to make sure everyone in the party got a “warm and comfy” ending that they deserved after all the hardships they went through and we finally see the party take on the next chapter in their life. It’s always sad to see a show end, especially one as iconic this one. It was, however, an honor to bare witness to the cultural impact Stranger Things had on the world. What started off as a show that had a kid getting stuck in another dimension by accident shortly turned into a pop-culture movement. Stranger Things is now finally coming to a close after near close to a decade of—for lack of better words—“run time” and it’s both exciting and sad to see it end. It’s clear to see throughout the show that the Duffer brothers took notes of iconic 80s horror and slasher films, and found a way to integrate the different themes it into their own universe. There’s very few shows who can do it so elegantly, but also appeal to multiple generations while doing so.

A tragic, intricate story that involves pushing the boundaries of science, love and the norm took the world by storm. Art became such an icon that what would’ve been a stand-alone movie from Damien Leone turned into an actual franchise. We not only get more information on who Art the Clown is, but we also got even more unanswered questions by the end of the second film—which is insane since most films don’t seem to do that as they lose audience members and fans. We also finally get introduced to an incredible “final girl” Siena, and embark on her story about how her fate seems to be tied to Arts, be it if she likes it or not.

It goes without saying that the rise of Art the Clown has been delightful o watch bloom into what it is today, an iconic horror movie. Dameon Leone did a spectacular job instilling fear and discomfort into the majority of his audience members with an incredibly low budget, and he brought the darkest parts of his imagination to life. Today, you can’t go somewhere and namedrop “Art the Clown” in a public setting without turning a few heads around—the range of reactions is incredible.

Marva and MJ are back after a rather lengthy hiatus and take on the wonderful task of reviewing Terrifier, the movie that allowed for another horror icon to rise after over two decades passing from the last one. They’re sure you’ve seen the film, but can you ever really get enough of Art?

The legend and icon Wes Craven wasn’t just a man who built up one horror universe and ran off, he built multiple. Two of his most iconic horror franchises are Scream and Nightmare on Elm Street. These two franchises kicked off a whole set of movies that expanded on their unique universes and brought a lot to question about the idea of horror. Despite all the different movies for each franchise, there is one question that remains unanswered: What if the Scream and Nightmare of Elm Street universe collided?

On this week’s episode, MJ and Marva talk about the idea of Freddy Kruger walking into Woodsboro and wreaking havoc with all of our favorite characters; including Sidney, Billy, Stu and Dewie.
