Week 1 of the NHL post-season is almost in the books and what a week it's been - there's been upsets, comebacks, fights, injuries and much, much more activity that we all love about hockey, and it's only been a week.

Almost all of the 1st Round has been decided and teams like Edmonton, Pittsburgh, Winnipeg & Nashville are not continuing, but teams like Montreal, Chicago & Arizona will be participating in the best 16 team tournament of the year.

We give an update on all of the series, who won what and how they did it. We then give a preview of what will happen the next round and what those matchups look like - there are going to be some great series.

We then give our thoughts on who might win the 1st Overall pick tomorrow evening and what that might look like - there are definitely some intriguing teams that would love to get that pick.

We are down to crunch time and all the players are reporting to their prospective bubbles in Toronto and Edmonton. The players and teams are safe and we're almost ready to start the Stanley Cup playoffs for real!

On this episode we discuss what the NHL has done right to make this process safe and efficient for all the players and staff involved, as well as what some of the other leagues could learn from that. 

We discuss the new name of the Seattle Kraken, the colours, the logo, the jerseys and the excitement surrounding the 32nd franchise in the NHL.

We also talk about what has happened in Arizona, obviously there is much more to happen with this story so we'll keep everyone updated with latest news.

We get into some other Top Shelf news and we end our show with a preview of the Eastern conference play-ins. We agree on some series and not on others, but they will all be exciting!

It's July, it's warm, we're outside and talking about the NHL and the return of hockey in a few weeks - in August! That's right, we're back and so is the NHL (fingers crossed) The NHL outlined a plan to get the players back playing safe in 2 cities, Edmonton and Toronto. We review all what's going to happen with the teams and who will be going to each "Bubble City"

We discuss some important dates for the rest of the year and what might happen at the draft, we talk about the new CBA that was reached earlier in the month and what that could mean to a few teams.

We also get into the NHL Award Finalists and who should win what award this year - all except the Hart in which the nominees will be announced later this week.

We end our show by discussing the teams who will be playing in the Play-ins in the Western Conference - don't miss out on our predictions!
