'Absurd': Backlash after a man is appointed as Scotland's first period dignity officer

The appointment of a man as Scotland's first "period dignity officer" has provoked widespread criticism.

Critics say the job should have gone to a woman and former tennis star Martina Navratilova has labelled the appointment of Jason Grant "f****** ridiculous".

Mr Grant, a former personal trainer, has been given the job of promoting access to free sanitary products in schools and colleges across the Tay region.

The role also includes discussing issues around the menopause.

His appointment comes as Scotland becomes the first country in the world to introduce a law to widen access, free of charge, to sanitary products.

Mr Grant's job title is Period Dignity Regional Lead Officer, the first role of its kind in Scotland.

News of his appointment has prompted criticism on social media and elsewhere.

Susan Dalgety, a feminist and columnist for The Scotsman newspaper, told Sky News:

"I am astonished that a man has been appointed to be lead on "period dignity" in Tayside. It takes mansplaining to a new level.

"Jason has said being a man will help him reduce stigma and that it is time to normalise topics like menstruation and menopause.

"Periods are normal life for women, we don't need some bloke in a blood red polo-shirt raising our awareness."

Jason Grant's PR representatives said he wasn't available for interview.

In an earlier statement announcing his two-year appointment, he was quoted as saying: "I think being a man will help me to break down barriers, reduce stigma and encourage more open discussions.

"Although affecting women directly, periods are an issue for everyone.

"We'll also raise awareness of the menopause which, although a natural process for women, has wider repercussions in the world of work and family.

"It's time to normalise these topics and get real around the subject.

"I believe I can make progress by proving this isn't just a female topic."

DRAG QUEEN FREE SPEECH CASE FINALLY GOES TO COURT

Three days of hearings from November 28-30 have been scheduled in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal in the case of Dwayne Hill and Johnny Valkyrie versus Lyle Shelton.

The backstory is this. In early 2020, two drag queens sued me for “vilification”.

SHELTON'S alleged crime was to write a blog that highlighted that these drag queens were promoting genderfluid ideology to children and that they were “dangerous role models” after they appeared at a drag queen story time event for children at a Brisbane City Council library.

The drag queens made a complaint to the Queensland Human Rights Commission alleging that SHELTON'S post was vilification because it incited hatred, severe ridicule and serious contempt towards them.

Something is making the Earth spin faster and days shorter

"Since 2016 the Earth started to accelerate," Leonid Zotov, a researcher at Lomonosov Moscow State University, told CBS News. "This year it rotates quicker than in 2021 and 2020."

Days have become much longer since the Earth's formation. As The Guardian notes, around 1.4 billion years ago, a rotation of the Earth took less than 19 hours. Days have gotten longer by, on average, around one 74,000th of a second each year. But the planet's rotation can fluctuate on a day-to-day basis.

21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the [a]elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

Is this what Jesus was describing? Are we seeing the days becoming shorter and will we continue to see the Earths rotation become quicker until a day becomes shorter by hours not just seconds?

Israel’s War On Cash Is About To Get More Drastic

As of August 2022 it will be a criminal offense in Israel to pay more than the equivalent of $1,700 in cash to a business or $4,360 in cash to individual, as the government intensifies its ongoing war on tangible money.

It’s a war that began in earnest with the 2018 passage of the Law for the Reduction in the Use of Cash. Israeli businesses and individuals began facing limits on cash transactions in January 2019. However, on Aug 1, those limits are being slashed nearly in half.

Next, Israel’s finance ministry plans to deliver a proposal to parliament to criminalize the mere possession of cash exceeding a certain sum. One version of the proposal set the possession cap at the shekel equivalent of just $14,700.

Limits like Israel’s are just one way to work toward “de-cashing” a population. A 2017 International Monetary Fund paper outlined other tactics, including abolishing large-denomination bills, imposing reporting requirements on cash transactions over a certain threshold, requiring the declaration of cash when entering or leaving a country, or applying an additional tax when cash is used. Various countries and economic blocs have already started implementing measures from this menu.

The Chinese ambassador unfurled an analogy about a marriage to illustrate his point. It was one thing for a husband and wife to quarrel at home, but “it’s something else if they fight down in the street – it’s going to change the nature of the marriage”.

The three rules that "the husband" China has laid out for Australia "the wife".

Don’t squabble outdoors, don’t pick sides and don’t humiliate us (China the husband) by failing to respect our red lines.

What happens if Australia breaks one of these rules?

Do we get a backhand, a little touch up and told to go to bed.

Then after a few late night drinks "husband" will do what he wants?

Because it's all about our goodies, the coal, gas and iron ore, that's what it is really all about.

Forget about your morals, principles and convictions Australia.

Let’s begin by dispelling a key misconception. In spite of President Biden’s repeated promises to rush to Taiwan’s aid if attacked by Beijing, we don’t have a mutual defense treaty with Taipei but we do have an interest in that country’s lion’s share -- 85 percent -- of the world’s production of semiconductors.  In fact, we’ve lived up to our 1979 "One China" Taiwan Relations Act obligation by recognizing Beijing as the legitimate head of all Chinese people to include those in Taiwan.

Here is my opinion

Watching the Matt Walsh documentary “What is a Woman” and I thought this could possibly be the most important documentary of a generation.

But with the question, come answers that seem to be more convoluted and evasive by the minute. 

Watching people demonstrate their best mental and linguistic gymnastics to come up with an answer that never actually answered the question.

I couldn’t help but to reflect on what the Bible says.

Because the Bible gives us much more than just an answer to what is a woman or what is a man.

The Bible gives us the answer to why we are even questioning these things in the first place. 

Why the world is seemingly caught up in this “Big Lie” of transgenderism.

Why modern leftist transgender ideology is a portrait of confusion supported by lies and delusion.

It all comes down to The Truth

Genesis 1:27

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them

This is stated in The Bible as fact, God created male and female. No confusion, no second thoughts, God is not sitting there afterwards pondering whether he placed the female in the female body and the male in the male body.

But mankind now portrays The Bible as myth
