Welcome back to another episode of The Slow Thinking Podcast! This week we're joined by Emily Nicholls, a University Lecturer and solo traveller who has visited many places around the world while both working and exploring for leisure. In this episode we're focusing on the stigma around women traveling solo, the thoughts and fears surrounding being a solo traveller, how we help to make the world a safer place for future generations, and much more.
This is our tenth episode and the last episode of Season 1 of the podcast! Don't worry, we'll be back in 2025 with a brand new season of episodes, so keep your eye out for a notification on your phone about Season 2 in the New Year! Merry Christmas from Izzy and Seb, and have a Happy New Year!

On this episode Seb & Izzy are tackling intrusive thoughts, taking a look into how they might affect our everyday lives and discussing why we get them in the first place. They can be a real pain and usually strike while we're doing something fun or relaxing, especially when you're on holiday or having the trip of a lifetime, but they're more normal than you probably realise.
Of course, we also have a discussion about pro wrestlers, The Matrix, and Yorkshire farmers in what is the wildest episode of the Slow Thinking Podcast yet! Izzy has another great exercise as well as some great tips in this episode too, and don't forget you can message us on our instagram or email to tell us how you found the exercise or just to share your thoughts with us!

Welcome back to the Slow Thinking Podcast! This episode is all about our four-legged companions; we talk about rescue dogs, travelling with our pets, and the mental health benefits of having these furry companions in our lives. If you're not a dog person, then why the heck not? After this episode, you'll be rushing down to the local rescue centre and carrying one home on each shoulder.
As always, we'd love to hear your comments and experiences of travelling with your pets over on our Instagram @theslowthinkingpodcast!
Disclaimer: This one really is all about dogs, so if you're afraid of dogs or don't like walking, then you're barking up the wrong tree with this episode. We won't be mad if you skip it, but our dogs will judge you forever. You have been warned!

Seb and Izzy are in the same room for this episode! They're sharing a microphone strapped to a pencil and talking about the deepest topics while a dog snores in the background in sunny Spain!
In this episode we're covering the fear of the unknown, how we worry about the unexpected and why we have a need to plan for every eventuality. We'll talk about getting stuck in a field, checklists, creating normality in situations where you feel out of your depth, t-shirt slogans, wise owls, and much more.
As always, Izzy sets an exercise )that Seb will try his best to get out of) at the end of the episode, and you can share your results with us on instagram @theslowthinkingpodcast!
