Relationships! We will look at how our faith factors into some of the most important relationships we have: our friends, our parents, and our current or future significant others. This week, SM Director Nick Mercer spoke from Romans 7:14-16, James 1:13-15, Genesis 1:26-28 and a few other places in Scripture. We looked at how there are principles in the Bible that should be applied to all our relationships, but dating especially. The principles are to consider the future, cultivate our faith, and know that community is key!

In our series Hope in Exile, we will examine the cycle of exile (Orientation, Disorientation, Reorientation) and what the Psalms tell us about what our relationship with God can and should look like; on the mountaintops and in the valleys of our lives. Tonight, SM Director Nick Mercer, looked at Psalm 23 and we saw how the Psalms teach us that reorientation in our relationship with God requires us to reset, recommit, and remember.

SM Associate Brett Harlow spoke from 2 Corinthians 5:1-5 and talked about how we can live in the spiritual homes we build even as we look ahead to the eternal home that Jesus promises.
