As always, I try to be brutally honest with myself and transparent with you guys. This episode is no different. Many of us set goals in the back of our minds and forget to revisit them. Then when we DO revisit them, we lie to ourselves and don't revise them. Resulting in never reaching our goals. There is nothing wrong with missing a goal in pursuit but missing due to lack of work and adaptation, is a different problem entirely.

I love when I get to speak to an expert in a field that I want to know more about. Dr. Emmett Goods is a professor at The University of Rhode Island of Music and Jazz Trombone. With multiple degrees and a wealth of experience playing live music, his commentary on not only jazz but all genre was great to listen to. Music is a language that very few of us can read or write but we somehow are able to understand. This makes it one of the most compelling genres of art.

Financial literacy is quite the common theme here on the show. Understanding how different markets work, interest rates, inflation, etc. can only benefit those who choose to learn. Much of what I talk about has been taught to me by Mr. Saatcioglu. He has a PhD in Finance, is a certified financial analyst and a professor at Rhode Island College. I really enjoyed our conversation, it was great catching up and discussing current economic conditions and investment strategy.

Yes, I am ACTUALLY excited for the college grads and no, I'm not being cynical. Ok maybe just a little. Graduating college can be a huge high for a lot of us, getting through the course work and completing something on our own gives us a sense of accomplishment. I understand a lot of you are eager to break into your field and that this high will carry you for a while. Some of you will learn that the world after college is not as cut and dry as we've been led to believe. Don't ever be afraid to change course!
