  • 24. Obedience: Pathway to Sonship

Hello, and welcome to Episode 24 of the Sonship Sunday Podcast, where we explore your identity in Christ and how God perceives you.

This series is geared towards helping you discover and develop strong relationships with God and your fellow men.

Episode Summary:In this episode of the Sonship Sunday Podcast, we explore the vital role of obedience in our journey as sons of God. Using Jesus’ parable of the two sons (Matthew 21:28-30), we uncover the importance of aligning our actions with our words. True sonship is marked by a lifestyle of obedience, not just verbal commitment.

We also examine biblical examples of obedience and disobedience, the consequences of rebellion, and why obeying God—whether it feels good or not—is always in our best interest. If you’ve ever struggled with surrendering to God's will, this episode is for you!

    Key Discussion Points:

    * Obedience is the true mark of sonship.

    * Disobedience is rebellion and carries consequences.

    * Loving God is demonstrated through obedience.

    * God's instructions may not always be easy, but they are for our good.

    Call to Action:

If you haven’t yet accepted the Lordship of Christ, now is the time. Becoming a son of God means laying hold of your inheritance and walking in the fullness of your identity. Confess and repent from your sins, and start your journey with Christ today.

Say this prayer: “Father, I acknowledge my faults and return to You. Sin shall no longer be my master. Henceforth, I cease to be a slave to sin. Thank You for making me a son, no longer a servant who is ignorant of Your mind. I know Your thoughts towards me.”

Thank you for tuning in to this episode of the Sonship Sunday Podcast. I hope it has inspired and encouraged you to walk boldly in your identity as one born of the Spirit.

As a token of my appreciation, I’d like to offer you a free copy of my book, Exploring the New Birth. This resource explores the transformational power of being born again and living a Spirit-led life.

  • 23- Becoming the Express Image of the Father

Hello, and welcome to Episode 23 of the Sonship Sunday Podcast, where we explore your identity in Christ and how God perceives you.

This series is geared towards helping you discover and develop strong relationships with God and your fellow men.

Episode Summary:In this episode of the Sonship Sunday Podcast, we explore what it means to be the express image of the Father. Just as children naturally resemble their parents, believers are called to reflect the image of God. We dive deep into scripture to understand how Christ came as the exact representation of the Father and how we, by beholding Him, are transformed into His likeness.

    Key Discussion Points:

    * The Concept of Bearing an Image – How children resemble their parents both physically and in character.

    * The Lost Image of God – How humanity lost God's image after the fall and bore Adam’s nature.

    * Christ as the Express Image – How Jesus perfectly revealed God’s nature to the world.

    * The Devil’s Deception – How the enemy blinds men from seeing God’s image in Christ.

    * Transformation Through Beholding – How we are changed into God's image as we gaze upon Christ.

    * The Example of the Early Church – How Peter and John’s lives reflected Christ.

    * A Call to Realignment Encourages believers to ensure that their lives, not just their religious activities, mirror the Father’s image.

    Call to Action:

If you haven’t yet accepted the Lordship of Christ, now is the time. Becoming a son of God means laying hold of your inheritance and walking in the fullness of your identity. Confess and repent from your sins, and start your journey with Christ today.
