We must question the suitability of our leaders, since God gave us free will, even to reject Him and His Teachings, should we be accepting autocratic spiritual leaders knowing they like us are imperfect?
We would all be so much better of as a civilization if our religions taught and were examples of "do as you would be done by", "love each other as we love ourselves", but we who recognize "we exist in the presence of The Living God" can strive to live by the golden rule regardless of whether our spiritual leader emphasize it.
A SOTAG can be affiliated with any religion or none at all, they recognize and seek to build a relationship with The Living God (not just a pastor, cleric, rabbi etc.), embraces Truth, Knowledge, Love and the Brotherhood of Mankind.
It appears that religions pitted God against Science and it would appear that Science won. So instead of recognizing that "we exist in the presence of The Living God" and science being revelations for our benefit - religions are more focused on relating to seemingly a time when God was alive, some even seek to live today as in ancient times...
