In this episode of the Planted not Buried Podcast, Lance Thonvold introduces Hunter's remarkable story, a testament to the beauty found on the other side of life's fiery trials. Much like the biblical figures Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Hunter emerged unharmed, not even smelling like smoke. Despite losing a job, Hunter found his calling, working full-time at Rock Point Church, married with kids. It wasn't the path he expected, but it was the right decision.
So, when life feels like a furnace, remember, it's better to endure the heat for God's plan than avoid discomfort. God's sovereignty brings blessings, even if circumstances don't change. Reflecting on my own furnace in Mariners rehab, I emerged changed, my perspective shifted, and life became a blessing beyond baseball.
If you're pushing carts through your own fire, take heart. God has a unique plan for you, shaping you into someone only you can be. Keep enduring, keep pushing those carts, because on the other side of the furnace is a life beyond your wildest dreams.
