I did something I would never in a million years consider doing – I had a reading with a professional astrologer! I was a bit disappointed that she did not wear a wizard's cap, but the experience was enjoyable and eye-opening. In this brief update, I take a few moments to update you on the appearance of the “orbs”.  They have stopped at my home, but I tried to see them via the same camera that I always use, while “dogsitting” at the home of my son & daughter-in-law.  I saw them back in early December, when I took the camera with me to Austin, TX, and this is the first time I've seen them since then!

In this quick “60 Seconds for your Soul” podcast installment, I discuss a gentleman that I met by chance during breakfast at a small local café.  He took the stool next to mine at the counter – despite the fact that there were many others available – and we started talking.  He turned out to be a real-life example of “Thoughts Become Things”, and how we can choose where and what we want from life.  This man made it clear that he did not let anything stop him – his race, his circumstances, his birthplace. He was a joy to talk with and he reinforced my belief in many of the concepts of manifestation.

One of the challenges I've had while struggling with my personal spiritual awakening has been that it often seems at odds with what I've been taught as part of my Catholic religion.  But one of the constants with spiritual growth has been the urging to “trust yourself”, trust what you sense as true and valid. Trust your feelings. For me, Christmas has always “felt right.” I've loved the warmth of family and the sense of hope and love that permeates not only our family, but our community.  Can those feelings be wrong? How does “awakening” spiritually fit with the concepts and feelings that you've had your entire life about Christmas?
