Welcome back old friend! It's been a while...
In this season 2 opener, Joshua opens up about how The Soulbody Wholeness Podcast went through a major death and rebirth cycle. He shares how it's changed and what to expect going forward this season.
The meat of the episode is centered around the deeper reasons why we continue to make choices that don't serve our highest good- even when we are PAINFULLY aware and know what would serve us better.
He talks about how the old rhetoric of force and will power are limited and don't work in all situations, especially in the realms of complex trauma.
He also offers one of his favorite 1 minute techniques for getting deep into our subconscious- the root of where a lot of these patterns stem from- and actually creating changes in our nervous system that naturally will begin motivating us to make better choices.

More about Josh and Soulbody Wholeness
In this episode of the SBW podcast, Joshua sits down with Lua (Buse) Kanlikilic, a Turkish multidisciplinary artist working nomadically across ritual tattooing, body painting, ceremonial workshops, symbolic textiles and garments, altars, and immersive spaces. A trained Reiki practitioner, Lua brings deep energetic sensitivity to each offering—channeling talismanic designs that support personal intention and invite specific qualities into the body and living space.
As a threshold keeper and intuitive translator of symbols, Lua approaches art as devotion: a grounded, transformative way to mark transitions, reconnect to self, and remember the ancient language of images beyond the analytical mind.
They explore how Lua’s journey—from an intense, productivity-driven chapter in Dublin to an initiatory “cocoon” period during the pandemic in Koh Phangan—reshaped her relationship with art, slowness, and spiritual integrity. Together they unpack tattooing as a rite-of-passage practice: not just decoration, but a ceremonial crossing—where symbols, sigils, sacred geometry, and body placement become a living language for transformation.
You’ll also hear reflections on masculine productivity culture vs. feminine spaciousness and gestation, how to create from deep listening instead of algorithmic pressure, and why purpose may be less a fixed destination and more an evolving puzzle that assembles through the right people, places, and timing. The conversation weaves in underworld journeying, nature-based wisdom, and Lua’s work with Ogham (the Celtic tree alphabet) as a pathway into belonging and deeper inner guidance.

SOULBODY WHOLENESS COMMUNITY
In this wide-ranging, hilarious, and deeply human conversation, Joshua sits down with Dr. Stephen Paul Edwards—author of The Venus Fly Trap—to explore what happens when life (and love) refuses to follow the plan. From spiritual awakening and the “spectrum of insanity,” to the liberation that comes from radical truth-telling, this episode is an invitation to loosen the grip of shame, allow life to dissolve your attachments, and live with more authenticity, humor, and freedom.
In this episode, they explore:Dr. Stephen Paul Edwards is an international speaker and author with a PhD in Spiritual Counseling. His book The Venus Fly Trap explores love, obsession, liberation, and the wild edge where spirituality meets raw human reality—told with humor, honesty, and sexual liberation.
In this solo episode of the Soulbody Wholeness Podcast, Joshua shares the foundational arc that has shaped his life and the bigger body of his work: the natural progression every Soul-embodied leader must go through- from Healing, to Wholeness, to Service.
Joshua reflects on how many of us never set out to “be spiritual” — we simply wanted to feel better. He breaks down what healing actually means, why the journey moves in spirals, and his controversial perspective on the need for far fewer people to be concerned with trying to help the world- how true and effective service only becomes possible when the nervous system is resourced, the ego is integrated, and inner wholeness is reclaimed.
Along the way, he shares personal origin-story threads — identity wounds, chronic symptoms, coping patterns, and the long initiation into embodiment — and offers a map for how your deepest wounds can become your greatest teachers, and eventually your greatest gifts of service for others.
In this episode:
Reflection question:
Where in your life are you being called right now — healing, wholeness, or service — and what would it look like to honor that season fully?

Welcome to the SBW Podcast! This is a special solo episode where Joshua goes DEEP into huge components of his work- Somatic Alchemy, Elemental Embodiment Exploration (EEE), and Genius Frequency Methodologies.
People are always wanting to know more after seeing some of his work on social media, so he decided to de-mystify it by sharing the methodologies that changed EVERYTHING for him.
Joshua traces the arc from early years of trying to “fix” life through fitness and diet, to ongoing initiations into embodiment, purpose, and soul-aligned living. Along the way, he unpacks the intelligence that is always guiding our attention inwards- towards our trauma and conditioning that are stuck energy in the body- how we can liberate, integrate, and use that energy to become our most authentic selves of love, joy, and service- our Genius Frequency.
He also covers why true transformation requires both depth (our shadows and our truths) and breadth (building safety, spaciousness, and capacity).
You’ll hear what an EEE session can look like, why it is often described as breathwork + bodywork + energy work (but without the work), and how the body prefers to process at the level of sensation, movement, sound, and regulation rather than endless mental and verbal analysis and processing.

In this episode of the Soulbody Wholeness podcast, Joshua sits down with Thomas Waterman, founder and steward of Sacred City in St. Petersburg, FL, for a deep dive on community, truth, and the kind of spirituality that is both mystical and practical.
Thomas shares what Sacred City actually is, a self-development community devoted to helping people experience at least one meaningful, “life is magical” moment per day. Together, they explore Sacred City’s monthly upward-spiral rhythm of remembering who we are (song ceremonies / kirtan), embodying who we are (dance portals), and embracing who we are (celebrations), along with the deeper ethos underneath it all: courageous authenticity- being fully yourself even at the threshold of fear.
Thomas offers powerful metaphors for why “telling the truth” can sting at first, but ultimately clears the field for real intimacy, presence, and creativity. Joshua reflects on where we let things “fester” in life, and how half-truths can keep us stuck, even when they look spiritual.
They also dive into ego, shadow, and paradox: how mature spirituality is not about transcending humanness, but shining awareness on the whole human experience.
If you’re craving a grounded conversation on community, devotion to truth, and what it looks like to live your values without trying to control the world, this one is for you.
In this episodeI love the moments when I remember what matters most to me, then have the courage to actually live from that place. This is the foundation of my music and my daily life. I’m inspired by those who yearn to live this way. To live courageously authentic lives. This deeper pull continues to motivate me to steward Sacred City, a community of people building a magical place by remembering, embodying, and embracing who we truly are.

Joshua sits down with therapist, depth guide, and longtime soul-ally Adina Arden Cooper for a wide-ranging conversation on shadow integration, presence, and what it means to live as a sensitive modern mystic in a chaotic modern culture.
Adina shares the vision behind Remembering the Muse — a nine-month shadow integration journey for highly sensitive creative visionaries — inspired by Inanna’s descent through the underworld, where each “gateway” invites deeper honesty, vulnerability, and self-reclamation.
Together, they explore why true healing is not a finish line, but an ascending spiral of deepening capacity, trust, and embodiment. They speak candidly about the challenges of marketing depth work with integrity, the cultural misunderstanding of trauma and sensitivity, and the ways imagination, art, and the felt sense become portals to soul meaning beyond the mind.
This episode goes beyond surface-level spirituality and explores:
If you feel the call of mysticism, creativity, and honest self-confrontation, this conversation is an invitation to step through the next gateway — and remember the muse within you.

Joshua sits down with multidimensional soul guide and temple steward Christina Marie Echevarria to explore spiritual awakening, soul embodiment, initiation, and the alchemy of transforming fear, trauma, and conditioning into liberated medicine.
Christina shares her origin story as an intensely sensitive child and “mental projector” in Human Design, describing how overwhelm, anxiety, and emotional flooding led to patterns of numbing, coping, and identity confusion.
From there, Christina opens up about the path of deconditioning that reshaped everything- and the gradual reclamation of sovereignty, self-love, and a lived relationship with God that turns life itself into a mirror for awakening.
Together, Joshua and Christina unpack how life is not a problem to fix, but a sacred intelligence that expands our capacity for truth, compassion, and presence.
This episode goes beyond surface-level spirituality and explores:
Joshua also shares about his first tea ceremony in Christina’s temple space, where profound primordial remembrance and spontaneous channeling opened a major portal of purification and soul activation.
This episode is an invitation to stop treating your shadows as enemies, trust the intelligence of your initiations, and remember that your essence itself IS the medicine.

In this raw and real episode, Joshua sits down with his soul brother and prior guide and mentor, David Miranda.
David is a certified Purpose Guide, Neurodynamic Breathwork Facilitator, and trauma informed somatic practitioner.
David opens up about what he refers to as his “Calling to Clarity”- the story of how he spent a major portion of his life in a fog, seeking love, connection, and validation through the haze of drugs, alcohol, and sex addiction.
And the precise moments of Divine grace- a clearing of the haze and the revelation of clarity- the transformational shift of identity from the outer to the inner. The moments where he was able to finally come home to his Soul.
David and Joshua explore themes around:
This episode is also an experiment in a new type of authenticity for the podcast, as it was more of a conversation between two brothers. David shares his story not from a place of polished preparation, but rather from dropping into the raw present moment.
It was a living, breathing relationship he got to re-experience with his story, connecting new dots and revealing new insight.

In this deep and wide-ranging conversation, Joshua sits down with men’s coach Hannah Jo McCartney to explore intimacy, sexuality, emotional alchemy, and relationship as a path to soul evolution.
Hannah Jo specializes in helping men recreate their relationship to their sexuality, emotions, and desires. She is a co-founder of The Studio X in Santa Barbara, California where she supports clients in person and worldwide through virtual coaching and community.
Hannah Jo shares her personal origin story into what she and her community call the PolyTantric Method- a living, embodied framework that weaves together somatics, tantra, transpersonal psychology, shadow work, and relational practice.
Together, Joshua and Hannah unpack how relationships, desire, and sexual energy can become vehicles for awakening, rather than identities, labels, or pleasure-driven pursuits.
This episode goes far beyond surface level conversations about polyamory or tantra. Instead, it explores:
Hannah Jo also speaks candidly about her work with men-supporting them to reconnect with their feeling bodies, rewrite internalized “man programs,” and come into deeper alignment with their authentic values, relationships, and life purpose.
The conversation closes with Hannah Jo guiding a powerful Trinity of Awareness Meditation- an alchemical and practical practice of deep self-compassion.
This episode is an invitation to question inherited relationship models, reclaim emotional truth, and relate from the deepest layers of the body and soul- beyond labels, beyond scripts, and beyond fear.
