I am beyond excited to bring you this week's interview with my dear friend, Christine McAlister. Christine is an entrepreneur, business coach and the author of the #1 bestseller The Income Replacement Formula: Seven Simple Steps To Doing What You Love And Making Six Figures From Anywhere. An expert on turning tragedy into triumph, she founded her company, Life With Passion, after the full-term stillbirth of her first daughter, Maeve. Christine helps high-achievers all over the world to quit their jobs, replace their incomes, and scale to 6 figures, all while doing what they are uniquely gifted to do.
This episode is such a treat because Christine and I share a close friendship, and are both mothers of two small girls. We get really honest about our individual and shared experiences of motherhood, and the effect this experience has on women as business owners. It can be really challenging to navigate business, but it's nothing compared to navigating motherhood!
Listen to my interview with Christine to learn: • Her experience with taking maternity leave after the birth of her second daughter, and the mindset blocks brought up from that experience • The one question Christine asked herself that shifted (and simplified) her business model • How she takes care of herself while balancing motherhood + entrepreneurship
With love, Cailen

In celebration of October being 3-Day Workweek Month, I'm bringing back a crowd favorite from the 3-Day Workweek Podcast archive. This episode was recorded back before the podcast was even on iTunes (!!) , when my daughters were much younger, and when I was still dreaming up the details of what would eventually become my Six-Figures Made Simple™ Mastermind.
Listen to this classic episode where I take the hot seat and dive into:
• How my 3 day workweek actually works and what it really looks like
• How I organize my schedule as a mom of 2 little girls
• The difference in my life and business before my 3 day workweek and after
• How I'm able to run a successful, 6-figure business working less than 20 hours a week
• The movement I'm starting and how YOU can be a part of it :-)
So, I shared all of that and more on today's show!
If you're curious about any of that (or the laundry list of entrepreneurial endeavors I dipped my toes into prior to the work I do now!), check out today's episode.

Last week was the retreat for my Six-Figures Made Simple Mastermind™.
It was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We stayed in a gorgeous townhouse (see the pics below!) and enjoyed mindful morning movement, learned about the "Energy of Money", I shared my new favorite sales technique, we set our 90 day goals and enjoyed a lot of healthy, delicious food, including dinner at a superb + classy Mexican restaurant.
But, the most special thing about the retreat wasn't the venue or the trainings or the food -- it was the ladies who attended. The women of my Six-Figures Made Simple Mastermind™ are rockstars!!!
These women are passionate, driven, visionary, powerful and go after their dreams while also honoring the balanced lifestyle they want to live right now. They are all fantastic examples of what it takes to be a successful woman in the truest sense -- a woman who not only does amazing work in the world, but also takes care of herself, her loved ones and her community.
I feel immensely honored and grateful to have these women as clients, colleagues and friends. (Shout out to Shelley, Missy, Chelsea, Brandy, Sally, Wendy, Marycruz, Tracie and Erica -- I love you all!)
Something that these women embody so beautifully are the 3 things that I know to be true when it comes to creating true and lasting success.
Most people think it takes hustle, stress, struggle, hard work, sacrifice (and a bunch of other negative things!) to create a beautiful, happy, successful life.
No, it doesn't. That doesn't add up!
What it does take is focus, commitment and consistency.
Focus, commitment and consistency are the 3 keys to lasting success in any and all things. You can apply these principles to business, relationships, health, personal development, mastering a new skill, you name it, and they will usher you along the success path!
The thing is people start mixing up focus with stress and commitment with sacrifice and consistency with hustle. And then they wonder why life isn't feeling so great as they go after their dreams. It's because they're showing up with negative energy instead of powerful energy.
The women of the Six-Figures Made Simple Mastermind™ exemplify the NEW WAVE of successful women who aren't sacrificing their time or their families or their health in order to create rich, meaningful lives. They are showing up for themselves, their loved ones and the people they most want to serve. They are aiming to live a rich life -- not just get rich in business.
This is the type of woman that I love working with and supporting. This is they type of woman who gets great results from coaching. The woman who is seeking not only abundant income, but also an abundance of time and energy for all the things that make life worth living.
If you're ready to create true and lasting success through focus, commitment and consistency (and leave the hustle and sacrifice behind), I would love to explore having you join the next round of the Six-Figures Made Simple Mastermind™!
Book a call to see how the mastermind could support you in achieving your dreams!
With love, Cailen

I am so excited to introduce you to my dear friend and mastermind sister Daniela Woerner. Daniela is a spa marketing and retail sales strategist for aestheticians. She is also the host of the iTunes top 100 podcast, Spa Marketing Made Easy. In the 13 years she has spent in the industry, she has worked with some of the top dermatologists in the field; consulted with global physician-dispensed skincare brands; contributed her expertise to the branding and positioning of major product launches; spoken to and trained hundreds of spa employees on retail sales; and developed educational training programs for aestheticians in 82 countries worldwide.
THIS GIRL IS ON FIRE. She has leveraged her talents and expertise into a career that serves such a defined, specific niche, and because of that her business has flourished.
We often encounter resistance when it comes to niching down. But as Daniela says, "The riches are in the niches". Getting focused on helping one specific person or solving one specific problem in your industry helps ensure that your messaging doesn't get watered down and generic.
Listen to this week's episode with Daniela to learn…
• How she turned the obstacle of her husband's job transfer into an opportunity to start her own business
• Why she decided to niche down and work with a very specific type of client.
• Daniela's experience implementing my A/B Week strategy for her and her team through the end of 2020

Today on the show we have Allison Hardy. Allison helps mompreneurs create 6-figure businesses on their terms through a hearty dose of automation, strategic email funnels to sell their products/services, and leveraging authentic social media interactions through Facebook Groups to become the go-to expert in their niche. She is the creator of The 6-Figure Mompreneur Podcast, a Huffington Post Contributor, has been featured in YFS Magazine, and was named one of Washington, D.C.'s most influential professionals under 40 by Washington Life Magazine.
I really enjoyed my conversation with Allison. Like myself, she's a mother of two small children and has structured her business around the life she wants for herself and her family. We got into the nitty gritty of how she transitioned from working 16 hour days in her first year of business to now only working during her 16 month old daughter's naptime, all while scaling her business to multiple 6-figures per year. Allison is completely transparent with what worked, what didn't, and what she would have done differently while building her business.
Listen to my interview with Allison to learn:
• What Allison's first year in business looked like
• The importance of systems and automations in your business
• Why you should start building your email list sooner than later
• The advice Allison would give her younger self before embarking on this entrepreneurial journey
Allison has also gifted 3-Day Workweek listeners her Clients on Autopilot training series, a 4-part video training series that will help you create and automate a lead generation strategy that is predictable and scalable. Learn more at http://cailenascher.com/the-3dww-podcast/allison-hardy

The #1 thing I credit my success to is valuing my time.
Ok, did you catch that?
It's worth repeating so it really sinks in: The #1 thing I credit my success to is valuing my time.
I know I would not be where I am today with a 6-figure business working just 3 days a week if I didn't truly understand and honor the value of time.
Sure we've all heard people say "time is precious" or "you should value your time more" but how do we actually do it?
Here's what I've come to discover, valuing your time is a MINDSET issue above all else.
It's not about being more efficient or productive or finding the right app or planner.
Valuing your time starts in your head.
If you are currently in a place where you're giving your time away for free or very little, you need to start repatterning how you think about your time before you'll ever see an external shift of more dollars flowing into your business.
So, that is why I am here today with my 5 favorite ways to value your time more. These have served me and my clients very well -- I know that they can work for you, too.
#1 - Talk about time differently.
Many of us spend all day long reinforcing that "we don't have enough time" or "time flies" or "I never have time for myself" or "I never have time to work on my business". Guess what -- if you walk around all day with those thoughts in your head or speaking those thoughts out loud, you'll keep creating more of the same.
Try this one on instead, "I always have enough time for all of my priorities." Basically what we're saying to ourselves here is that we make time for what is important to us, and then we can start evaluating what those items are.
#2 - Rethink your priorities.
If you're in the habit of saying yes to everything that is thrown at you and putting other people's needs ahead of your own, you're basically saying your time is worth nothing. Time is a limited, precious resource, and if we keep giving it away, we're never going to be able to harness its power and potential to draw in more abundance into our lives.
Make a list of your priorities. Your REAL priorities. Not the ones your partner or mom or kids put on your list. The ones that YOU want to be on your list. If you are not currently making time for them, it's time to shift things. If you were to look at a typical day for you right now, what would it say about what you value and prioritize? What do you do first thing in the morning -- meditate or check emails? What do you do after the kids go to school -- feed yourself a healthy breakfast and work on your business or the laundry? What you do on a daily basis is planting seeds for who you are becoming -- what are your current choices saying?
#3 - Give yourself a raise.
Your time is valuable and precious and limited. Don't undercharge for it. Give yourself a raise! If you are working with clients for pennies, you're doing both yourself and them a disservice.
Clients show up to the level which they invest in themselves. If you are undercharging, oftentimes clients will not prioritize their work with you in the same way they would if they paid a premium.
Now, this doesn't mean jack-up your prices for no reason, this means wrap your head around the idea that your time is valuable and worth paying for. And, in demonstrating that to your clients, you'll help them do the same for themselves.
#4 - Envision the future you.
Envision yourself in 3 years. What does your life look like? What is going on with your business? What do you make time for? What do you no longer give your time away to?
Channel her whenever you're feeling conflicted about a time-related issue like…
A client wants to move her session to Saturday morning (and you don't want to work weekends).
Your kid's teacher asks you to organize a fundraiser.
Your best friend asks you to pick up her kids from school when you already have a consult call booked.
Ask yourself, how would future me respond to these requests?
#5 - Create an "I'm Worth It!" list
If you're having trouble feeling the value of your time, especially as it relates to your business, creating an "I'm Worth It!" list is very useful and fun! Write down all the degrees, trainings, certifications, investments and coaching that you've put into becoming the person you are today.
You are totally worth it! You are worth making time for yourself, you are worth charging more, you are worth putting feel-good boundaries around your time.
I hope that these 5 Ways to Value Your Time More are useful to you! I would love to know what resonated with you the most. Please share your top takeaway with me in The 3-Day Workweek Facebook Group -- I'd love to connect with you there.
With love, Cailen

This week I sat down with business coach Kelly Roach to discuss her entrepreneurial journey and learn more about how she built her business around her ideal lifestyle and core values. Kelly Roach is a Business Growth Coach who helps Entrepreneurs and Business Owners start and scale their businesses so they can create true lifestyle freedom. She's a former NFL Cheerleader, a mom and wife who honed her coaching skills by handling hundreds of millions in assets and managing dozens of teams at once across multiple locations. In her corporate career, she engineered record-breaking turnarounds for companies and mentored departments of Fortune 500 companies to break every single sales record. Her goal is to help her clients meet their true potential and live out their dreams by building profitable businesses that enhance every aspect of their lives.
When Kelly graduated college, her dream was to a corporate executive high level position in a global organization. She started in an entry level position right out of school with a Fortune 500 company, and after 10 years and 8 promotions, became the youngest Senior VP of the company. When she began thinking about what she wanted her actual day-to-day to look like, she realized that in order to build a life based on her core values of financial abundance, freedom, and making a difference, she would need to create a business that works for her, instead of the other way around.
Listen to my interview with Kelly to learn:
• The core values around which Kelly created a thriving, successful business
• Why she focuses on Legacy Leadership in her work
• The importance of patience and vision for entrepreneurial success
• How Kelly has built her business around her family's lifestyle dreams

Summer can throw a monkey wrench in business momentum as time gets allocated to family vacations, entertaining small children, pop-up playdates and sitting in the sunshine (is that wishful thinking? LOL).
We have a month left until the kiddos go back to school and our schedules get back in order.
I don't want you to have to wait until September to feel the business momentum pick back up, but I also don't want you to sacrifice your limited summer days, either.
So here's my solution...
I am here with some of my favorite resources and tools to support you in taking the time off that you desire and deserve during this final month of summer while not letting your business grid to a screeching halt.

My suggestion?
Pick one category where you could use a little extra support, organization or automation, and explore a resource that could support you! Sure, you may have to invest a few bucks or upgrade to the paid version of something instead of trying to get by with the free version, but it's totally worth it!
Successful business owners invest in time and energy saving efficiencies. They don't try to patchwork their business together with partial solutions that ultimately prove to be more aggravating than helpful.
If you want to step into the next level of your business, you need to start acting like the next level version of yourself. And my guess is that that woman invests in stuff that saves her time and energy...and ultimately makes her a hell of a lot more money $$$.
Happy Summer! Here's to working less and making more :-)
