The reverse jinx (that I totally intended…) worked and the Texans were able to win 25-15 at home. We look at the numbers a bit and look back at the game. We also talk about the negativity that has surrounded the Texans the last week. The Rockets lost a physical game to Detroit and apparently there is still some baseball still going on. Also in breaking sports news: gambling is may not be the most straightforward way to make money…and it may be crooked. *gasp*

And we’re back with more NFL picks in this never ending comedy bit that is Paul trying to pick the winners. Last week was unkind and forgettable, so we’re hoping to turn the corner and get a double digit win week. Easier said than done. We also go spiraling about the Houston Texans season so far and all the emotions that it has brought to the surface for fans. How are you holding up, H-Town? Let’s pick some winners or at least laugh at the losses this week.

The Houston Rockets are ready to make some noise in the NBA this season. They showed up to give us an amazing season opener. And even though they lost, there is a strong sense of optimism for this team if this is how they’re gonna play. We look at the Rox game and then sadly take a look at our Houston Texans dropping a less-than-optimistic game against the Seattle Seahawks. This offense needs some help. We then finish off with a little baseball as the Astros signed a potential starting pitcher. (Not exactly the October news we’d hope for but…here we are. It could be worse though. Some teams have never been to a WS.) So gather your emotions and lets talk about some H-Town sports.

The Houston Texans were able to get their first win in the history of the franchise in Baltimore this past week. Is the 44-10 win enough to inspire hope for the Texans season? Could this be a sign of good things to come for the O-Line and offense, or is this just trying to get our collective hopes up!? The Texans spread the ball around and had a humming offense and their defense has been stellar, let’s get into it!

It was an awful end to the Astros season, H-Town. If you told me at the beginning of the season that the Astros would have the same win-loss record as the Detroit Tigers…I would have paid money to make sure that would be possible. But, alas, the Astros fell one game short of the playoffs and the emotional roller coaster ends in a valley. Luckily for Astros fans and Australians everywhere: Positive Paul is here for you. We try to honor our feelings but not spiral into the emotional distress that other fandoms love to slosh around in every fall.
