We've all heard about the artist's block or creative blocks; this is not a surprise to me. The constant effort to create better and better pieces can result in a complete burnout.

However, there are things that you can do so you won't end up burned out and without inspiration. Over time I've created my repertoire of habits which help my clients and me to stay inspired and rested throughout the whole year.

Running a creative business is though. Time intensive and everytime we think we've figured things out we discover that there is just a new challenge waiting behind a corner. Some of them were totally capable of overcoming on our own, analyzing the situation will give us the necessary clues to find a solution. However what happens when you can't figure out how to solve the issue. Then it might be time to ask for help.

If you'll ask me what the one thing was that changed my business from making no money at all to one where I have to handle waitlists, it is entirely due to pitching and promoting. Doing just that and focusing on it brought many awesome clients into my life and business. However, it also helped me to change the perception I had of my business. It skyrocketed my confidence and helped me own my creative superpower. I'll share with you exercises that will prepare you for a freaking remarkable year, and if things are already going pretty well, you might be able to make them even better. Let's get you started, no time to waste.

Journal Prompts:

• What Vision do you have for your family, kids, relationship, yourself, your business,... for the next 12 month.
• How do you want to fell in 2018?
• Write a motivational letter to your self, act as if you were a loving parent or friend.
• Write down at least 60 things that you want. Materialistic things, but also experiences and little things.
• How is your business going to look like in five years?
• Write a letter to yourself as if it already is January 2019. Tell yourself about all the fantastic things that happened in 2018. Everything you've achieved, done and experienced.

Craft shows as we all know are an easy way to sell your creative products, get known in your area and get to know your clients personally. Even though craft shows are always going to be work intensive, when done right they're a great way to sell, present yourself as a true professional and do some on ground market research. In this Episode, I'm sharing my tips and tricks on how to make your next craft show a real success.
