They can’t stop to take intestinal inventory right now, though. A few Black Harts remain conscious, and the arena’s marble golem referee isn’t the only one packing a surprise or two! Azazel discovers the gaming equivalent of killing two birds with one small thermonuclear device, Halexan and “Bow Dude” finish their duel, “B” faces a cat’s worst fear, Conall/Gerald opens the wrong bottle (dear gods, we’re never bringing that literal Heartfire to a game again), Sav’ah Rah asks Roland the question on everyone’s mind, and Ront remembers that he’s a half-orc.

Ganymedes has given some of our heroes a side quest! This episode, they venture into the residential part of the abandoned city in search of a golem and a magic stone that could free their new “friend” from his imprisonment. Hopefully they’ll find the two missing expedition members rumored to be in that area, as well! Halexan has another “fruitful” nap, B’s curiosity could very well kill the cat, and Conall ruffles a few of the locals’ feathers.

After recovering from their last explosive encounter, the party finds themselves at the threshold of the abandoned Dwarven city’s ancient temple! Half of the party stays behind to ward off any more nasty undead while the three stealthier members inch ever closer to the temple’s center in an effort to locate the missing Svirfneblin, “Cocoa.” Conall learns “the truth” (a WHOOOLE, heaping helping of it), Halexan learns a new recipe, and Meets-the-Heroes Brightcliff winds up on the wrong end of a bad knock-knock joke.

After finishing their long rest, our heroes put their plans to rescue the deep gnome cook, "Cocoa," into action! Can they save him from the beasts about to strike, or will they fight for their lives inside this killer thriller tonight? Halexan dances with the dead, Ront tries to be as silent as the grave, Conall is currently still ghosting the group (much love to Gerald), Azazel's barrel-tossing has all the ghouls aghast, and Sav'ah Rah gives quite the fiery sermon.

It is a generally accepted fact that to go into a situation with zero intel is probably suicide. It is also generally accepted that splitting the party to do a reconnaissance mission to gather intel deep in enemy-occupied territory without sufficient training or stealthy equipment (need we also mention “robot death squads?”) is also probably suicide. Sav’ah Rah plans a performance, Halexan gets a Shield of Shield of Faith, Ront’s rock shard experiences some technical difficulties, Conall disappears to do his own scouting (Gerald couldn’t make it for the next session which starts at the second half of this episode), and Azazel learns about the “constructimatronics” that were at Rufus Ruffpuppy’s.

Bonus Guest! Jeremiah, Mike’s son, joins us in the second half to play "the most average guy in all the land" and goof around with friends and family in a very special session of The SpellCast!

Happy One-Year Anniversary to us! Pop the champagne folks, we made it! Oh, but don’t be TOO loud, that battalion might still be around. Speaking of, our champions are nursing the wounds they gained at the hands of said mechanized militia and are plotting their next move! Hopefully it will yield better (healthier) results.
