Once our heroes extricate themselves from the Beacon's library, they find their way back to the fundraiser for the Brindle campaign. 

The mayoral race heats up with unforeseen claims and unusual speeches. Meanwhile everyone seems to get invites of all different kinds to the after party. Clues continue to fall into our heroes laps, or proverbial buffet trays. 

Who knows who they'll vote for in the upcoming election!
I miss Mr. Snuffles

Our heroes felt inclined to knock a few back before this episode so they really get after it. Death threats, impersonations, plots, checkers, and even librarians become crucial features in today's episode.

The crew tries to unravel the unsolved mystery of Ponderosa while navigating the ever-shifting power dynamics within the town of Half Moon Bay. Both the Brindles and the Beacons seem poised to do something nefarious. 

Thankfully our crew develops cover stories and sneaks in to the Beacon's cliffside compound to uncover the truth of what's really going on in the restricted section!

The crew finally were able to pick their jaws off the floor...err dock and give Simeon some alone time. They find new clues in Ponderosa's office. Babcock swears he's been keeping guard but someone has clearly been tampering with their crime scene as well as their dreams. 

Natasha, I mean Sargent Brindle escorts our newly returned heroes back to the Break and Bed. She seems to keep her family at arms length but also keeps her distance from our heroes when talking about her family lore. It's almost like the Brindles have a sordid past and something to hide...

Anyway! Back at the Breakfast and Bed we finaly learn the fate of our bestest and favoritest pal: WIZARD JOHNNY! 
And John boy, the ol' WJ, has been busy in the interim. He has concocted a plan but there's no telling if Desdemona, Wysteria, and Korn will go for it...

Our heroes have defeated Zarastro, hurray! And are now back in Half Moon Bay... Wait... what were they doing in Half Moon Bay again? 

Desdemona, Wysteria, and Korn dust the rust off as they catch up with old friends like Oskar and Dorilus while getting the lay of the land in town. While they were out saving Lacebark in the forest, people were busy back in town and a few things are in motion that could spiral out of control. 

Also, we introduce our first hunk to the story. 

Oh! And the plot thickens!!! Like Soup. (But there are no soup goons in this episode- SPOILER!)

It is time for the heroes to have their first BBEG battle. If you don't know what that means, just know that it means Zarastro aint moosing around anymore and it's time for a rumble in the jungle (or rather forest).

With the help of the Lacebarkers, our heroes get above The Midnight Oil where Desdemona infiltrates Zarastro's lair. Before long the battle ensues and Wysteria, Korn, Mr. Snuffles, and an unlikely hero drop in to help Desdemona stop Zarastro.

There's just one problem... All our players stink at rolling and roll a lot of naked twos... Will they make it out alive? The dice sure aint on their side.

This is the end of the first arc (of 3) of the campaign. Normally, we've been releasing these episodes every other Wednesday, but we're going to take an extra week off after the arc is over. The next episode will be up soon!

It's time to get out of the cave...factory...prison... thing. And the only way is up!!! With some creative ingenuity our heroes defeat the log and get the Lacebarkers out of the mines.  

The Lacebarkers (that's what we decided to call the people of Lacebark) lead the crew back to Lacebark but some squatters have taken over the place. 

Our heroes hatch a plot to get the town back but will it be enough and will they be able to save a few bingo balls for Wizard Johnny along the way?

It is time to face the charge of soups... with a cat.  Our heroes lead the brave people of Lacebark to reclaim what was once theirs in an epic cave battle through the mud.... 

But afterward, a cave isn't the best place to put down roots for treetop dwellers so our heroes anxiously search for a way out for the people of Lacebark. There's no time for sawing logs... or is there...

Our courageous heroes find themselves in a tight spot and need to think creatively to get out... Did I say creatively, I meant crate-ively...
Wysteria finds a new vice that can be illuminating but leads her to burn the canlde at both ends. Meanwhile, Desdemona makes a splash while discovering significant purposes to Zaratsro's machinations.  But this purrfect storm would not be complete with Korn finding a new steadfast friend... Did I say steadfast? I meant steed-fast.

All punning aside, our heroes make crucial discoveries but it may all be too late. They find new allies and new powers but will it be enough to stop the onslaught of soupy goons. They hide their numbers by their inability to count, but you tell that to someone at the wrong end of one of their swords. 

It all ends with a final illumination into one of Korn's redeeming qualities: bravery!

It's soup season!

Our heroes wend their way beneath the Boulevard of Behemoths to uncover an unusual subterranean enterprise. Heading little caution our heroes explore this new place. 

After running in to some soupy individuals our heroes do the unthinkable in the world of table top role playing games: they split up!!!! 

Don't worry, I managed to keep it together, even if they couldn't. It was all worth it though because in the end, the soup cooled and Desdemona uncovered the truth in the broth.... 

Our heroes are pitted against their first real foe enhanced with supernatural properties of the Amber. They're trying to find Ponderosa and hopefully can find a way around this obstacle and get beyond the infamous Boulevard of Behemoths. 

The ancient Boulevard of Behemoths is where Wizard Johnny had a star-crossed moment that, if our heroes are lucky, he'll feel comfortable enough to share. Wizard Johnny spews a lot of nonsense but sometimes his regaling demeanor can become prophetic.
