In 1996 Western Stock Growers celebrated their centennial with a week –long cattle drive across a vast open piece of rangeland. 1500 people, 1700 horses, 2000 steers. Tlhe then manager of the Douglas Lake ranch, Joe Gardiner  and his family took part and this week you’ll hear his colourful stories from that event.  A charming soft spoken buckaroo with a saddlebag full of cowboy stories shares some of his savvy horsemanship insight and amazing adventures.  The long awaited new release from a much loved cowboy singer sill debut along with a heart warming piece of cowboy poetry, horse training help and much more.

Doug Walsh lives the cowboy life without internet, a cell phone or even a T.V.
