Butch Ware has been removed from the CA ballot by the CA Secretary of State's office. I explain California's odd top-two voting system, the problems Democrats are having with it, and Ware's struggle to remain on the ballot. I draw conclusions from all of this about what happened behind the scenes and why alternative parties should prioritize voting method reforms over seeking ballot access or running candidates for higher office.

There have been three eras of Christianity since the time of the original disciples: the early churches, the state-backed religion, and the Protestant Reformation. I explain the beginnings of a new era, characterized by the effects of Biblical scholarship, the desire for a direct experiential spirituality, and encounters with other religions.

I comment on two stories: military commanders exult that the war on Iran is the "Apocalypse" heralding the return of Jesus, & progressive Christian politician James Talarico wins the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate seat in Texas.
