2) every legal resident should have a guaranteed basic income.

What I've been working on--instead of a new video! 

Mike Wright released a video two weeks ago and a new one two days ago, each exposing frauds among Christian leaders and both which were covered up by major figures in the charismatic movement/Christian right. I go into the charges, the response by leaders of the Bethel Church, and my take on all of this.

I look at a few key arguments Allie Beth Stuckey makes from the Christian right against the views of progressive Christian James Talarico: (1) what makes someone a Christian, (2) the authority of the Bible, and (3) the idea that the founding documents of the U.S. were based on biblical principles. I critique her views and offer my own perspective on the whole debate.

I look at the Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, a progressive Christian politician. Plus some concerns about Trump's construction of a police state in front of our eyes. And a correction on my story about the Venezuela War Powers resolution.

This week's political stories: billionaires raking more in; Jesus at Trump's New Year's party; repeal effort of ranked choice voting in Alaska; upcoming Congressional elections may change balance of power between parties.
